I know it says it's in 'used' condition, but I'm just glad to have a copy for a decent price!

Aw man.. "This seller cannot currently receive payments."  PayPal error when trying to pay for the R1 and Egg lot. That's never a good thing, but hope it's just PayPal over-reacting to a BS dispute.

Paying with my CC instead of PP balance just in case though, when I can pay, heh.

I was a bit nervous about the Warriors of Mars BIN but it arrived a few days ago and is in marvelous condition.  The binding is tight and its free of any markings on the pages, odor or staple rust.  The artwork is a real hoot.

What ever happened to Greg Bell?  Did he do anything for TSR after Blackmoor?  Did his departure have anything to with the incident described below?

Rob Kuntz wrote:In fact my love for comics at that time paid off by revealing that a piece for the Men & Magic book of ODnD had been ripped off/copied by Greg Bell straight out of a Dr. Strange comic by Marvel. I revealed what TSR had unknowingly done and EGG had the cover changed to the Footman in the funky helm with sword; prior to that it had been a fighter on a rearing horse. So, that Men & Magic version is actually the oldest version of the book (with horseman).

Very interesting, Netrodent. I didn't know about that reason for replacing that artwork. Anyone know what Dr. Strange comic that is from? (1973 or earlier) It would be an interesting collectible. (Of course, I don't own a woodgrain....).

I wonder how Gygax felt regarding Darlene's artwork in the DMG that is inspired by classic artwork...

Probably more of a threat of lawsuit from Marvel.

Yeah, that was a great win, NR.  I really like that book.  Aside from the cool drawings, it's got some very interesting content.

Nice win!  I completely missed the auction.  I should put it on my search list one of these days.

Seriously...Badmike has seen me do it.  It isn't pretty.  Blood gets everywhere.

I guess I should have expected that.  The last time I used my "Obi-Wan" voice on this forum, someone else responded with the exact same thing.

Just goes to show you... we geeks are so predictable.

Okay, this isn't going to set the community on fire but I just received a second print of C1 from eBayer jugger20. It cost me £3.70 including postage, arrived quickly and well packed. It's in excellent condition (unmarked apart from the price tag) and I'm delighted. Wanted to recommend the seller to others (don't know if he's got more D&D stuff though).

Eek! Didn't realise I was bidding against you. Seriously, I put in one bid. I was prepared to pay several times more than I did. I was actually concerned by the apparent lack of interest in the item. Others were selling for considerably more. I started thinking, "What do they know that I don't?"

Snipe? Me? I should be so lucky...
