Well this just arrived - and is great.

The books are mint, all the ref. sheets are there, plus the correction sheet, and a Strategic Review #2 thrown in!  The box has what looks like some soot staining - although there is no smell.  I wonder if it might respond to some... cleaning

Very nice Steven!  It looks like they added the pics with the WoM after I'd left, otherwise I'd've bid a little higher initially (you would still have won, though ).

Intelligator is a reseller — that lot is headed to his chop shop for eventual redistribution.

Guess I am not geared to be a reseller or have the proper mindset. Most of the items in there appear to be fairly common. Without a list I would have had a hard time spending over $200. Sure there is a Cloudland it seems, a ToEE anda Ptersons Cthulhu Guide I think but a good bit of the stuff appears to be low end items.

Notice that at least three other resellers also bid on that lot.  Two of them bid fairly high while the more intelligent of the three (starts with B, ends with admike   ) waved off before it even hit $100 knowing the true worth of the items.

Either that or he is just really broke.

Even so, that's what resellers do, though, right? It might not be glamorous, but if you grab 30 modules at $2 apiece and turn them around for $3 apiece, you're getting the job done.

I might have gone a little higher, but I'm always leery of auctions from people who aren't in the hobby. All those items could be missing maps, pages, have drawings of naked orcs in them, etc.  Still, with that many items, the winner will probably come out ahead selling each item individually. I just didnt' want to take the chance. But yeh if everything is ok shape you can about calculate $5-$10 per common module to sell and you have made your money back plus some, that's not even counting if the TOEE is in decent shape with the mapbook.

Yep, same seller. I also picked up a 1st D3 at the same time for $9.  I don't recall any others, at least not on this side o' the pond.
