I hadn't had a fun find for ages, but the one I got a couple of days ago made up for it:

cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt ... IBSA:AU:31

Just a lot of Little Wars mags, I hear you say? And at the price you paid, surely the auction should be posted on the Silliest Auction Price thread? Perhaps so - but as you'll note from the seller's reply to my question, issue 7 still contains The Long March, a Tom Wham game.

Having looked for a complete copy of LW7 for something close to 3 years (ever since getting my first copy of that issue which was sadly incomplete), it would be an understatement to say that I'm rather pleased to have snapped this one up.

Regards

Mike

Why is this one a nice pickup?  What is cool about it?

Wild Things and Dark and Hidden Ways are fairly RARE.  (listed as a 4 on the Acaeum).  They only came packaged in the bonus packs with DSG and WSG.  Unopened ones are worth more, but they still command a good price.

See these recent auctions of mine:

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... T&rd=1

and

Now will your better half sell them on eBay with correspondingly low BINs?

I don't get it. That auction is still running and as a mater of fact I would have to guess that its going to get pretty heated here real quick.

I've got my tracking bid on it.  Maybe the fact that she's a zero-feedback seller will scare off the wiser^H^H^H^H more fearful collectors.

Maybe the auction is an April Fool's joke.

I suspect that you are right.     I have a feeling Frank is trying to pull the wool over our eyes on this one. I find it a little coincidental that someone has all that stuff listed in one place who isn't a current collector.  That and the fact that the numbers on the 2 Monos conviently have there numbers covered up by other stuff so we don't know which ones they are a bit too convient.

BTW, it seems a little suspiciously random too.  Gee, all these super rare items, and oh yeah there is a EX1 and a Q1 to go with them too. Way too convient for me. :)

Yeah, but placing a bid for hundreds of dollars is too much risky fun for me.   :D  I am sure that it is a joke, but it's a joke in which everyone can participate.

(Unless it's not a joke, in which case my wife will kill me.)

Well, I think Frank's post was the indication on that, but I think he is not in on this alone.  I suspect that he has help on this one.
