Did anyone see Sue or Monte Cook at the Con?

They moved away from WotC and Renton WA to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so I was just wondering if they went this year.

They didn't make it, I believe. Monte intimated that he'd be there next year on his blog.

The tundra is not frozen hard enough to walk on this time of year.
That and the delays for those damned caribou herds!
Thankfully it is almost igloo season again!
Soon we can get away from those sizzling summer temperatures of 80 degrees... :)

No we took a holiday down in the South(Alabama, Kentucky, Tennesee, North Carolina).  It was very interesting and enjoyable.

How were you able to do without moose or caribou meat for so long? What? No back bacon?
Please, tell me you did not like the grits. Nobody likes grits unless they are born in the South; something in the water or something. You did hit a few states that know something about barbecue, though.

Tried lots of southern food.  Grits---Yeech!!  I tried them  I will have to say I just do not get it :?

We ate at a fancy place to Chattanooga that was touted the very best southern food it is was very good :)

As for Caribou or Moose for those that have never tried this type of game it is terrible; there is a reason humans raise and eat cows, the cows teste best

No,no, no--not my fault. I was talking about back bacon and grits. How it got to bovine reproductive parts is in no way my fault.
I've always wondered about some of the things people eat. For instance, just how hungry did that first guy get before he chose to eat an oyster? I can see it now... "Say, Ook, that looks like it might be good to eat." "I don't know, Mook; looks like something that came out of an ox's nose." "Mmmm, good! Try it Ook, you'll like it." Sheep brains, testicles, sweetbreads, tripe, head cheese, haggis...
Now there's another. Angus is sitting around hungry with not much to eat when his cousin Colin suggests that they stuff a sheep stomach (the only non-vegetable item left in the pantry) full of cereal grains and boil it for several hours. Mmmm, tasty... not. The whole reason the Scots invented that elaborate "cutting the haggis" ritual was to distract the guest from the idea that they we eating boiled oats from a sheep stomach.

I've seen the suggestion put forward (humoursly) that all Scottish culture is based on a dare.

My SO, on the other hand, thinks it all evolved from one guy they liked getting drunk and playing practical jokes on. ;)

In Southern culture, most men die right after saying, "Watch this!" :?

Our local variant of that in this part of Canada is "Hold my beer and watch this!"  :P
