In fact, now that auction lists it as $ 120...

Sheesh, that's pretty bad. :(
Worth trying to talk some sense into them first, to see whether they're sensible enough to go "oh, stupid me; I meant $120!" and try to get their listing fee back? And even then.... *shrugs*
Newbie. :?

One before that sold for $88, so maybe the bidder thought he was getting a deal, especially since this copy is cut up to pieces!!!!!

Looks like the same thing happened as when that grenadier giant sold for $300.

Buyer one wont be around for the end of the auction and puts a ridiculously high bid in figuring no one will challenege it.

Newbie comes along and tests the waters and thinks its a blast upping the price.

Buyer one is screwed.  :?

Sorry, it's not D&D, but I couldn't pass this one up:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 95202&rd=1

Ah, toast and the Runaway Bride ... who could resist placing a bid? Especially when a mere $16,000 will get you into the game ...

There is no limit to some people's capacity for stupidity (although something tells me there aren't a lot of serious bids here). Also, in a situation like this, you've got to ask yourself: is this joke really worth the final-value fees?

So as to not be completely off-topic, I'll throw this out: just think of the D&D collection you could put together with $16,000.

p.s. Looks like that one worked out OK in the end, fluffs.

Seller reduced their start price a second time and ended up with $103.

$150 BIN gets you a 4th- set with a few early and first print supplements... or else, if you're less lucky (or D&D savvy), this;
