Makes me wonder what the word for "shill" is in french...hmm.  Though if that's the case this one looks like it backfired.

Believe it or not, I don't think that that item was a shill. The top bidder though could probably take up a whole new thread of silliest auctions prices of the year:

cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidI ... amp;sort=3

8O  8O  8O  8O  8O

I still have problem for the word shill in french. Don't appears on my harraps between Shiite and Shinto :) Please give me more informations ! Is there drug as mbassoc wrote -du shit : marijuana in slang- ?

The bidder seems to be fond of radio and now D&D, perhaps he belongs to SETI project. 8O . He is watching you laughing, guys.

According to the Altavista Babel Fish Translator:

English: "shill" becomes French: "compère".

French: "compère" becomes English: "accomplice".  Seems about right.

Well, for that price it better be Gold Plated.

Draco, just think, thats just for one book in the series of 7.  I guess that would bring you to a decision.  Do you buy the whole set of Gord the Rogue books, or do you wait and go for that first print woody next up on EBay :P

And Amazon has a little "This item also available to buy" box with way WAY lower prices... What's up? Are there printing differences? Later editions? wha? I confess I'm not up on this item, 'cept that it's a Gygax novel.
