Check this out.  Two no-names with no record of purchasing these types of items bid this one up to the stratosphere!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

It's rare but wow!  Wonder if they were caught bidding a ridiculous number...  Now we have an estimated value for LC6 & LC5?

Oh by the way, congrats burnt on the latest acquisitions.

This is powerful! However, the buyer is the second person who has registered on this forum (the first was FoulFoot). So maybe not a no-name?

Good point, I didn't look to see if they were members.  I just noticed that they didn't appear to have bought anything D&D related for quite a while.  As I mentioned, it appears that they might have put in a big number, expecting to get it for less, and got a surprise.

Heading for a new record I think.

D1, D2, D3 not even shrinkwrapped and with some guys signature on them (not Gary's, anyone know who?). 4 days to go and the bid is $76!

I think it's the previous owner's signature.  Maybe we should sign all our own items before selling them and say they were signed by a famous member of the hobby... famous for being regular contributors to the Acaeum board!

Forget the mono C2... this is the auction to go for:

cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt ... egory=1183

Just remember that these are all first editions, you can find no earlier editions (sellers own words). And the books have been covered with contact, which somehow has increased their value.

And they're in very "goog" condition! What a "steel"!

'Goog condition'.... it's the sound you make when you get the books and realise you spent $300 on them..... "gooooog"

I'm wondering what her reserve is; might be worth asking the seller.

'They will not be sold separately'.... somebody should tell her there's a very good chance they won't be sold in any combination whatsoever.

Unbelievable - If I recollect a Blizzard Pass sold identical to this one a month ago for about $15-20.  I could see $30 for SW but this is just crazy!

I wonder if there is a way to set up a 'short selling' option on Ebay.  In other words, promise the 2nd place bidder you'll get them that item at the price they bid.. then pop over to Noblenight or work a deal with Kent or Burnie or others to sell it to you for a reasonable amount and keep the difference?

Hey... I may just be on to something here!

Have there been many SW Blizzard Pass modules on ebay that still have the pen attached? I haven't been actively looking but from casual searching this is the first one I have seen.

Cheers,
Curt
