THe auction price isn't what is the silly part. Check out the Shipping?! 8O

Oh yes, it's costly. But there are two boxes of miniatures inside - 40 pieces in all. That adds up weight.

Well, here is a rather optimistic opening bid: 8O

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... 6&rd=1

Maybe he thinks the ORIGINAL artwork that he has added makes these much more valuable, even without the box or the reference sheets.

Geez, I wonder if he is going to be disapointed when his auction doesn't sell.

$60.00 plus shipping: 8O

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... 7&rd=1

Not only that, but the description lists it new and in an unopened box, but the picture shows everything spread out on a counter. :?

F'nut was a guy who listed a $1,000 Deities & Demigods, then started FOTH-ing (Flying Off The Handle) at everyone who e-mailed him to tell him he was a loon — he picked up his unwanted nickname by calling everyone "a fucknut."

Needless to say, he got a fake bid, which led to great mirth for everyone. Hasn't been heard from since ...

Here's the original listing:

Thanks for the info!  Pretty funny. Can't imagine ANYONE thinking it would be worth that much, did he think it had a Wonka Golden Ticket in it or something?

WD #2 (nice copy, but not "perfect"); $137

Check out <garasharp>'s bidding history. ;)

Mentioned to the winner bid in passing, but they were happy enough to go with what turned out (surprise!) to be the final price. 8O

Wow! It must be the packing materials. :D

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Ahh, there is nothing quite like paying 10 times the value of the actual items worth.
