OK, this isn't such a ridiculous starting price as the module is decribed as VGC.  But have you seen the state of the module in the image  8O ?

If it is the actual item then he's got to be having a laugh.  I think the original owner must have been into origami  :? .

dathon wrote:Rhea's auctions are a blast, I'm having a great time going through them and winning and losing on items.  He's getting great end bids for a few reasons.  First, we know him and like him, and that goodwill translates into more bids.  Second, the stuff is in excellent condition, if not, amazing condition.  Third, there's so much of it that you can win multiple items and then save on shipping costs.  All good fun!

have to totally agree with that, shipping costs are a big thing for me, don't mind paying over the odds when I can get a lot, but there is a point when i have to stop.. 8O

Looks like the spine is ripped a good 2-3inches  hence the fold on the left, missing (and photocoppied) countersheet.. I don't know about you but this so far from my grading of VGC, in my opinion Very poor because of the missing peices, poor if it had the origional... i sometimes think i grade much too hard, but this.. well a picture is worth a thousand word, I suppose everyone can be thnkful that he now uses pics..

We were out-of-town so we had to bid early on Rhea's items.
It does look like Pittbull is rich (or he is like my brother and I and lives check to check, spending every spare cent on D&D). I bid what we were willing to pay and no more. As most know on this board, I am a sniper and this eliminates people being able to bid me up, but you are more than welcome to bid up Pittbull.  :

BTW: I have some shrink items I will be listing shortly, incuding a Wilderness w/Wild Things MIS(last one sold for $160), Greyhawk Ruins MIS, 10th Anniversary Bonus Packs, Trail Maps, GAZ11, GAZ12, and GAZ 13, etc..

Peace,
Burnt

Since pitttbull is a member on this board and surely reading all these posts about him, why not come out and let us know your opinion, pitttbull? If you don't want to, I respect that, of course. I am sure you have a very good reason for buying what you buy. It would be interesting to know.

It looks like pitttbulll is a sniper too from what I've seen.
Unfortunately he didn't snipe in any of my auctions that ended last night.

I think it's still OK. I would say a set of Encyclopedia Magica is worth ~ $75. Considering this, $100 should be the upper limit in case you really want it. If you have time, wait and get one for half the price.

Now that's a Sweet deal. . . I paid $2.95 for the shrinkwrap alone!

Minus the price tag to be sold in another auction. . . Hope I get it.

People who break up complete box sets to sell the components seperately should be thrown off ebay.

Check this out.  Two no-names with no record of purchasing these types of items bid this one up to the stratosphere!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

It's rare but wow!  Wonder if they were caught bidding a ridiculous number...  Now we have an estimated value for LC6 & LC5?

Oh by the way, congrats burnt on the latest acquisitions.

This is powerful! However, the buyer is the second person who has registered on this forum (the first was FoulFoot). So maybe not a no-name?

Good point, I didn't look to see if they were members.  I just noticed that they didn't appear to have bought anything D&D related for quite a while.  As I mentioned, it appears that they might have put in a big number, expecting to get it for less, and got a surprise.

Heading for a new record I think.

D1, D2, D3 not even shrinkwrapped and with some guys signature on them (not Gary's, anyone know who?). 4 days to go and the bid is $76!
