Bidding on your own item or getting freind to bid on your item in order to increase the selling price artificially!!

Kara-tur box for a starting bid of $128? And it's not even mint or shrinkwrapped...

Yo, looks like the seller got the clue. Not only did he change the description to "used", he also altered the bid to a more reasonable level.

"Thank you for your mail. I understand your concern in relation to condition and state of the books in regards to their price. As stated in the auction, the first 26 issues are contained within two hardcover compilations, which was a commercially available product released around the era of issue #100. This product is a consignment sale, and this listing is based on the wishes of the owner. If it sells at the desired price, "bonus" in my books! :) If not, it will be up to the owner what to do with them."

:?:  OK, I'm clueless on that! Maybe even more so than the seller. ;)

The BIN on their #51-75 is a laugh, though:

Someone's been reading "The Acaeum". *lol*.

Buck a piece, tops...

(OK, sorry, this doesn't belong here since it's not yet a "silliest price", yet, but I bet they'll find some poor sucker :()

I have a copy of A1 that fell out my bag one rainy night. I didn't realise until I walked past it the following day. It looks like hell. Maybe someone will give me 50 bucks for it.

This is now up to $71.00!!!! Sometimes it still surprises me how dumb some people are.  I mean seriously if this is a legit bidding war then both people are total morons as you can simply do a search on Ebay for a Queen of the Demonweb Pits and pull up at least 8 to 10 other listingings on any given day for 1/10 th that cost.  Now if its a shill, it might be even worse, because not only is one person really dumb for even going up that high, just think about the seller.  I mean if you were going to shill your own auction, when you bid it up past $30.00, how do you take the risk the bidder you are going against just finally doesn't give up and leaving you holding the bag because you have finally just gone too high.  Think about the incredible grreed and stupidity on the sellers part on that end.  Simply Amazing!!

I e-mailed both the bidders, and said I'd post them mine free of charge for $50 (well wouldn't you?). Neither of them are interested. That was when it was sitting at $60. I think its some guy wanting to p*ss off the seller and find an excuse to leave negative feedback.

It also appears that the 2 "bidders" form the Q1 auction have battled for the lead on another trashed module.  This one is a G1-2-3:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIte ... 9&rd=1

$31.00 for a turd, unreal....

Obviously fishy. Let us please note that neither of the two has bid insanely on items won in the past.

Youd have to figure out how to NOT be one of the other 30+ sellers that have their used stuff sell for $2.00 or less.

Unfortunately I am one of those sellers and wont be able to make this a full time job.

It's kind of like the way day-trading was in the late 90's.  Everyone paid attention to the guys who hit it big a few times, but forgot about all those who were losing money.  It's a wonder that any of these resellers make that much money to make a decent living.  It might be fun but there are a lot of other businesses that would be more profitable.
