OK, So you want the Arrggh! you can't handle the ARRGH! :-)

Seriously, I had only recently looked at WD to see what they are like.  Having never read the mags before I thought it might be nice to have a read.  Not really sure I want to collect them.

Try me! Having to develop extremely hard skin, here; which goes somewhat against the nature :)

Goodness knows how that auction went through to a successful completion at that price! Very fine copies, too.

Glad you've got plenty of money to hit that hard, on speculation!

Seriously, though, they're mostly very good reads almost through to the end (well, pick a number between 90 and 101, inclusive, for that).
Having these minty-mint can thus be problematic for regular use, hence the two sets I've got here (which were, anyhow, picked up whilst plugging in the gaps >15 years ago).

What do you all think?

and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

The real kicker is that one can usually get the entire Silver Anniversary set (including this module) for around $60, give or take.

It's each seller's dream. bradley18 probably thought "I want it at whatever cost." and neilflora201 couldn't believe he was outbid. Look how he raised his bid every 30 seconds or so. That's why a bidder should always snipe. Imagine, neilflora201 enters $50 bid amount with a fat grin on his face and thinks, "Now this one is mine!" only to find out that bradley18 had entered a higher bid.  8O Now neilflora201 becomes emotional and enters $55 - still not the high bidder. He becomes angry and raises his bids until he's at $80. I think, if he had won it at $80, he would not have been happy about the purchase once he realized that he threw his money out of the window.

Auctions like this are the reason, why Silver Anniversary Boxes are sold seperately by many resellers. You can make so much more money that way.

Hmmm,
I know a game store in town that has a beat up Silver Anniversary boxed set for sale (still in shrinkwrap).

It looks like its been dragged across a dusty floor about a dozen times.

$50.00 - I could probably talk him down a bit.  I still can't bring myself to personally break up and individually resell a complete set, but it couldn't hurt to take the shrink off and display Deep Dwarven Delve prominently.

Next time I get around that way. . .

I usually have seen the L3 sell for around $35 consistantly, that last auction was definately an abberration so I recommend being really chinsy on the price of that boxed set (especially since the rest of the contents dont really sell for much at all-if they sell).

The buyer is a die-hard Dark Sun miniature collector, but still ... $66  8O  8O !!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5918565899

This miniature used to go for less the $10. Don't know about the 0-feedback bidder. If you have spare Dark Sun minis, now is the time to sell them!

This is by far the most hilarious Buy-It-Now price I have ever seen:

that is because I e-mailed him and pointed out his obvious mistake. He's actually pretty nice.

Hi.
Last week, I put up for sale a brand new shrink-wrapped Planescape: Torment for sale on E-Bay... The auction ends tomorrow, and it is already up to 51$.... This software is available on Amazon for 20$

People are nuts!

Then be smart, and offer the same software to the second-highest bidder. After you get another copy, of course.

Well sure, everything's cheaper if you go illegal black market.

Btw, the price is more than double what I paid about 6 months ago.  Also, the only 'packaging' missing is the outer box.  There was nothing else special with it.

<edit - oh, yeah, a flimsy b/w install guide>
