Regarding the above auction for the Stone Giants Club. . .  I think the bidder entered in the wrong amount.  I am thinking that he wanted to bid $3.05

Taking a look at his other bids for miniatures you can see that they are all resonable.   The previous auction that Dathon refers to (the one he won for $16.49) had a max bid by the same individual of only $1.52.

The one that concerns me is the guy who bid him up that high. . .

Im betting that buyer wasnt able to be around for the end of the auction so he put up a ridiculously high bid assuming no one would come close.  He just got served I guess you could say.

This is one of the funniest auctions ...

I also think, intzbm2 put in a high bid and assumed he would win (and no one would find out). I bet the second high bidder knew about intzbm2's super high bid. If not, it is even funnier.

Let's check the feedback they leave each other...

I agree.. I think the dude was bidding 3.05 and just made a High Quality Mistake.

check out laclone... 'laclone'  as in 'the clone'?  As in Shiller?  It just makes you wonder.

I could see a legitimate collector payin 20 bucks for this... Probably the original retail price.

But laclone went in at 50 dollar increments and then stopped at 300?  Like 305 was too much but 300 was okay?

I would bet that 305.01 would have won this auction (but who would want it at that price).

I felt kind of bad so I emailed the the buyer before the auction ended  letting him know what was up (in case he didnt know), I received no reply yet however.

I know about the high bid example cause i got burned doing that myself in a sniping incident.  Another person had the same idea only his bid was a bit less than mine and I got stuck paying $170 for a micronaut toy.

Fortunately the item wasnt as advertised and I got a huge partial refund back and that was the last time I gambled like that. :)

There is no way in hell that auction ever gets paid.  Look for negative feedbacks to follow.

Mistakes can be made. Remember when Grodog's Pharaoh auction went to $1150 because I bid 750 or so and forgot it was pounds?

Which equates to about $250.  I don't care if the seller is a zero feedback newbayer, they deserve a good shoeing!

I remember pointing that auction out when he was bidding on it himself a few months ago, because he drove the price up so high and I couldnt understand what was so special about it.

Anyhow did you see his Bloodstone Pass auction? 99 british pounds ... ie almost $200 for an unshrinked, opened copy.

There were no bids last I checked...some of the resellers seem to be getting a bit too greedy, and the buyers arent buying it apparently.

The Game Emporium is the exception,  for some reason people pay any cost to win his auctions...white box set sold for $200 BIN just the other day.  Mind Boggling especially since there are like 5 sets for sale this week and a few that ended last week.

Ok, dead...time to cut that hair...

This is getting crazy

Ok this one beats anything ever posted on this thread.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

wtf?

I'm speechless, especially considering I bought this same item from this same seller one month ago for $16.49
This is totally perplexing.

I'd offer the "losing" bidder my box for "only" $250 but I'd feel guilty.
It's just too weird...

I just checked.... POSITIVE FEEDBACK LEFT FOR THE SELLER BY THE BUYER!  IT WAS LEGIT!  Holy crapamoly (tm)  It's time to sell my friends!

The guy paid over 300 bucks for a boxed 80s mini and is HAPPY ABOUT THE TRANSACTION!

Bookmark that buyer boys.  He's a good one to know! :)
