I'm sure people aren't seeing this info when they are bidding, all they see is in the shrink....

"When I first bought this module, I carefully slit the shrink-wrap across the bottom, slid the wrap off the top to gently look through the module. I then slid the wrap back down on the module, slipped it into a protective archival magazine bag, and put it in a file cabinet sandwiched between other modules."

Now this is what I do, hover I believe that this isn't being made clear enough... well at least I hope this is the case, otherwise I'll be contacting the third highest bidder;)

Well, Deadlord was using Jade Hares for toilet paper... he may want to rethink that now...  :D

I'm not a big fan of this "I slit open the top, read the module and then slid it back in," so it's still mint shrinkwrap.  It is not.  Near mint, yes, but it's not mint shrinkwrap.
But at least he states the true condition in the listing if one takes the time to read it, which one should of course.

What I'm getting tired of are sellers who say their item is mint or near mint and then they're anything but.  I recently won a boardgame where the seller explicitly states in the auction it has all unpainted figures.  And, yep, you guessed it, I receive the game and one of the minis is painted.
Another seller said a big dragon mini was unpainted and near mint, and I get it and it's been primed.  Technically the seller is right it was not painted, but he should have stated that it was primed and not near mint.

C'mon, what's wrong with these sellers?  And I can't leave negative feedback because I don't want to risk retaliatory feedback since I sell sometimes too.
Deadlord's right, maybe we should each have two accounts, one for selling and one for buying....

its the whole retaliatory feedback thing thats the problem, there has to be a valid excuse, not you gave me negative so I'll give you one... weather you have 2 account or not its always going to be a problem...

This Planescape lot seems to take off

$650 and still going for 2 more days ...

It's a nice collection but still ...
or is there a hidden gem?

But actually, for 30 items, at $650 you still pay only $21/item, not that far from retail maybe, and if you're into Planescape and don't want to get all items separately...

I wouldnt say Planescape stuff is really rare, its just at the moment there are more buyers than items.

I just put a Planescape Campaign box set (opened but mint contents) up for $35.00 "buy it now" since I just purchased a new unopened one.  It lasted a whole 1.5 days before someone snatched it up.

Man, I'm a hair away from cashing in all but the playables. SOOOOO many newbays out there. Reminds me of when we used to go fishing at the hatchery at night. Didn't even have to bait the hook, the fish just jumped on the line.

I'm speechless, especially considering I bought this same item from this same seller one month ago for $16.49
This is totally perplexing.
:?

I'd offer the "losing" bidder my box for "only" $250 but I'd feel guilty.
It's just too weird...

Regarding the above auction for the Stone Giants Club. . .  I think the bidder entered in the wrong amount.  I am thinking that he wanted to bid $3.05

Taking a look at his other bids for miniatures you can see that they are all resonable.   The previous auction that Dathon refers to (the one he won for $16.49) had a max bid by the same individual of only $1.52.

The one that concerns me is the guy who bid him up that high. . .

Im betting that buyer wasnt able to be around for the end of the auction so he put up a ridiculously high bid assuming no one would come close.  He just got served I guess you could say.

This is one of the funniest auctions ...

I also think, intzbm2 put in a high bid and assumed he would win (and no one would find out). I bet the second high bidder knew about intzbm2's super high bid. If not, it is even funnier.

Let's check the feedback they leave each other...

I agree.. I think the dude was bidding 3.05 and just made a High Quality Mistake.

check out laclone... 'laclone'  as in 'the clone'?  As in Shiller?  It just makes you wonder.

I could see a legitimate collector payin 20 bucks for this... Probably the original retail price.

But laclone went in at 50 dollar increments and then stopped at 300?  Like 305 was too much but 300 was okay?

I would bet that 305.01 would have won this auction (but who would want it at that price).

I felt kind of bad so I emailed the the buyer before the auction ended  letting him know what was up (in case he didnt know), I received no reply yet however.

I know about the high bid example cause i got burned doing that myself in a sniping incident.  Another person had the same idea only his bid was a bit less than mine and I got stuck paying $170 for a micronaut toy.

Fortunately the item wasnt as advertised and I got a huge partial refund back and that was the last time I gambled like that. :)
