I had to change my eBay ID for aesthetic reasons. Sad, but it happens.

Not that it will necessarily fall under this category, but does anyone want to venture a guess as to what the Tamo will go for today?

Man, you gotta love that cover art!  It just pulls you right in...

Depends on who is bidding.  I have considering a bid, but I am most likely not going to because of the "Beating my head of a wall effect" that seems to come when I bid on certain things.  If I had to venture a guess, I would say $1455.56.

Well, I'm not bidding, but am going to guess $1189.

You're probably right.  I've noticed the heavies tend (usually) to go for about twice what the highest bid is with around 6 hours left in the auction.

Does anyone recall what the last one went for (presume that the Acaeum valuation is low on this one) ??

edited to add - still havn't made my mind up about bidding, but I think final price on the low side (optimist). These are more common than Tsoj/Fazzle ?? (feel free to disagree). :)

I'm predicting it will go for less than perhaps it should...my pseudo random number generator gives a value of $1025.87.

Well, I just tossed in a couple of bids.  I am not sure if I am done yet, but I did manage to expose the high bid.

Yes, prices do seem to be down a bit on certain items these days...just my 0.06, of course.

I think the last Tamo went for $1330 or thereabouts in a lot with a couple of other items, or was it an Inverness.  Just about 1 year ago, if I remember correctly.

That was an Inverness. I have not seen a completed Ebay sale for a Tomoachan in a long time. Last one I saw had a $2000.00 opening bid and ended with no buyers.

Yeah, that was the Inverness hidden in a mixed bundle, wasn't it, Brian? Thought that went pretty wild, but it was in very nice condition IIRC.
The Inverness before that was Frank's, I think; and that failed to sell at $1k, hence it's not even on the Acaeum listing. :(
The private sales for both were thrashing around at about the same level before that.

Anyhow; there's a Daystar Rahasia and a Tsoj to come from Crazy Egor, presumably more Fazzles (), another Tsoj (I'm fairly sure) and you have a listing to make too, no?

*g*. Will skip that beat-up 3rd woodgrain currently on just now (no sooner had that trashed 2nd gone through), but I've got a much better one still kinda going spare, as you know. *shrugs*

Enough for everyone, I guess! :P

(And even if there's not likely to be another PotVQ for $12, soonish, maybe the next seller will try for $50 BIN instead! :?)

...yes, interesting pattern of damage on the three books.  Hmm (thinks), I wonder, what use would you have for a thin rectangular strip of flexible card while you were playing D&D (in your youth)???  :P

Zoiks! I won one in near mint condition (no coloring or any use) before Xmas for about $25...! It's a quality product with great artwork, but $50 is high. And it hasn't ended yet. Looks like a bidding war between 2 bidders.

The great thing about this product is that it is a coloring book, ostensibly designed for children, yet prominently mentions that "the lich summons his lover, the night hag, Strovolla, from the convoluted Planes of Hades. She in turn rides across the astral reaches to seek aid from devil or demon" and another page has a full page scene called "A Vision of Demon Fire" that shows Demogorgon surrounded by a bunch of demons ("Above all towers the twin madrill heads of Demogorgon, Prince of Demons. His blazing red eyes seem to transfix the horrified dwarf. Demogorgon's bristling green pelt and pink-suckered tentacles fill the viewer with such revulsion that he cries out and faints"). Yes, it has coloring instructions for Demogorgon...:D

This came out in 1979 - clearly before the whole '80s D&D devil scare.

Here's another coloring book (stated unused) that sold for $16.76 with 3 other old books:

I guess the winner believes that the 100th issue carries some unique value.  We know it does not.

Just took a look at the bidding list.  The high bidder really wants to win this auction.
