Seen a lot worse go for much more.
The apparent grubbiness on the right-hand side of the top of the box is mostly pixelation from poor quality image compression.
I suspect the winner will be more than happy for being "forced" to pay an extra $15-20 or so.

The only "down-side", IMHO, is that it's a late OCE rather than an early copy.
Which is usual for the higher grade copies, of course.

JM-02c, anyhow...

p.s. That would actually be borderline "cheap" for a UK sale, regardless of condition ;)

It was funny and clever and had good production values (for the time period); I think it has a fairly high "must-have" value for many collectors. Subsequent editions kept going to the same well far too many times ... seriously, how many different ways are there to say "pit trap"?

The price does seem high, though — no argument there.

Ginsu chute.  Meanest..trap..ever.    Or perhaps I should rephrase.  Meanest..DM..ever.

I saw the $.06 bid and almost bid on it bcause nothing in any sort of shape from JG should go that cheap. But I figured someone else would see and bid on it. I can't imagine he expected to get it for that price. I would suggest complaining that shipping was like 75 times the cost of the item

Holy Martian Madness Batman!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... RK:MEWA:IT

I thought, "well it looks interesting" (I recall someone here a while back saying it was an interesting read).  Thinking perhaps a max of $10 each.  "I will pick one up, flick through and if it's dull, maybe re-sell it".

Not now I won't. 8O

*remembers Cougar's bitter complaint at being charged 500 times his 1 cent bid* :)

Thankfully it's combined shipping with Tulan (*yay, at last!*).
You wouldn't think that's actually a relatively rare JG item, too. Just not quite so high profile as some of the others.

You know, if you really wanted to be a prick, you could just knock off that ridiculous BIN with a $0.99 bid.
