Strange question to ask out of the blue? :)

TSR edition; $15-20 usually. Sometimes a bit more.
They don't come up for sale all that often, but even with their illustrious authorial pedigree neither do they appear to command any particularly high collectable value (yet, anyhow).

*finishes scanning eBay, for no particular reason*

Maybe... ;)

Will you be going in as heavy on the GW 1st print MM? :)

Could have sworn Burnie Bros had given up "collecting"! Or have I said that before? ^^

Nope, no 1st print GW MM for me. :)  I already have a softie MM in real nice condition and although that is a 3rd printing, that is enough for me. :) At least for now. :?

You're kidding, surely? ;)

The 3rd print is "almost common". The 1st print is rare... that one might even still have the spine attached(!).
And you already have shipping charges in place! :P

*g*

Oh, you talked me into it. I tossed in a bid.  I wonder what Paul's max was?

Good try, even if a little half-hearted ;)
Was certainly worth a bid, IMHO: only the second copy I've seen on eBay with the spine still attached, if it is... And the one I picked up recently was "hidden" in a larger auction.

Would guess Paul was in at $50+, if he was bidding because he didn't actually have one.

Am I missing something here ????

Advanced D&D Players Handbook | eBay

Seller writes:

"All you really need to play Advanced Dungeons and Dragons is this book and the Dungeon Masters Guide (see my other items) plus a few dice, a pencil and paper."

Think he forgot to mention the tube of KY they will need for the reaming the buyer just took.... 8O

Howdy,

Yes, my 1st MM softcover is beat up. I figured a taped spine is better than shredded one.

The Basic Book, I have a "2nd" but because of the weak evidence for which is a 1st, I'm not to hot to bid up one.

Futures bright,

Paul

The buyer spread the KY himself 8O   This book should never have gone for that, the seller is just laughing right now.

***Non-D&D Warning***

This is just hilarious.  Not only the price, but the auctioning of a Vampire the Masquerade book as though it is some rare Hemingway tome or something.  Plus the fellow is calling it a first edition when it is the revised or 3rd edition game rules anyhow.
