I will have to check that when I get home and will post a follow up latter. IMHO, I think that that final is very high.

Unearthed Arcana era books, then yes, they fell apart quite frequently. The very early DMG, MM, and PHB were stitched, not glued -- and they hold up just fine over the ages under anything resembling normal wear. (If you can break one of them, you should be thrown in jail for collectible abuse!)

bclarkie wrote:Aside: The bidder who actually won this auction won an auction a few months ago that also raised some eyebrows:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5186939431I am sure most of you remember this auction, because it had the seemingly hidden(or so me and deimos thought ) 1st print DMG in Near Mint condition. It also had a real nice condition 2nd print PHB.
Marlith wrote:The one I picked up a couple of days ago cam close to the $100 mark. I don't think it is close to mint but looked to be in fairly good shape. There was something at the top and bottom of the bind and what looks like a ding on the bottom of the front cover. I may have overpaid but its the first 1st printing I have decided to see through no matter what the cost.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
Certainly a colletors item

If you start your auction at 99 cents and put a BIN of $14.99 you might get a bidder. Although these are clearly highly valuable to you, the world is only buying the books, not your nostalgic love affair with them."Wonder if I'll get a response?
