tsk, tsk, tsk ...

I picked mine up a few weeks ago at Origins for $15.  The box is in EX, and the contents are Mint.   8)

I sold one about eight months ago for £50. That's about $90. They're harder to fing than the Rod of Seven Parts.

You were lucky to get that much. Was it a shrinkwrapped copy? The usual going price on eBay is $30 to $35. If you need one now, Dragon's Trove has one (NM) for $50, or Titan Games has another one (VF) for $45, which is rather expensive, IMHO. (I haven't checked the eBay stores.) Anyway, it goes for just slightly more then ROSP, though I'm not sure that RTTTOH is rarer than ROSP.

I don't see any BIN copies of RTTTOH on eBay now. Guess the folks that lost out bidding wanted 'em :P

Also funny usernames. tigerkitten buying from cougarrinard. I wouldn't be surprised if that's not a coincidence. But it could be.

Heh, yeah, that does seem a bit of a ... coincidence.

That's in amazing condition.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

I think why some things seem to reach stupid prices in the UK is just that. It's in the UK where gaming shops are far fewer (I live in Birmingham for example and for the second city as far as I'm aware there's only one gaming shop really, Waylands Forge). We have to grab stuff whilst we can, and even though ebay in the US is tempting, you often have the debate "is it really worth it after charges from the bank for converting money, shipping costs and any vat/import cost".

:(

eBay

This is just sickening. I wonder how long this price trend is going to hang around? It would be nice to complete my collection of Known World stuff but frankly I dont give a shit if it is in shrinkwrap or not so I am not going to pay that much for it.

Ad&d Box Set | eBay

Same seller, same inflated price. But why is the shipping on the first auction $14.95 and on this one it is only $5.95? Did they put collectible bricks in the WOTI box set?  Maybe the first set includes an extra large jar of vaseline.  8O

Yea, thats the guy that bought the shrinked Wrath of Immortals Box Set from BTB. I am amazed that he hasnt found any takers on that set considering he paid $100.00 for that same set. The best part of it is that he bought it in Fine condition, but "magically" it became Mint after it was shipped. 8O

urgh, the Known World is my favourite world as well and seeing things like that & people taking advantage of others love of the game in that way is disgusting. Make some money sure, but don't try to rip people off big time.

wow! see that L3 on its own is still commanding a pretty decent price. might be the nudge needed for those selling their anniv box sets and wondering on splitting them or not....

Yup, I'll have mine up eventually. The rest of the Anniversary set is pretty neat as well. I won't be terribly unhappy if I'm forced to keep everything but L3 :P
