Ah... I see it now. I rarely ever use the keypad numbers, so that didn't even occur to me...

I'm hardly an expert, but this sure seems a little high for two boxed sets, even nice ones.

Yeah, that qualifies. 8O   How would you like to be the jerk off that actually bid $200.00 and still lost. :o

I'd love to be the jerk that bid $200 and lost. Then I could roll out of my chair howling with laughter at the idiot that outbid me.

Dont get me wrong, this seller is actually a pretty nice guy, and he seems to have a real nice sellection of unopened modules. Also, for the most his prices are already on the high end, but this one is absolutely absurd:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 44112&rd=1

It is not even in its original shrink!! 8O

I don't think it's any more ridiculous than asking $50 for a B2, heh!

When I finally buy a home, I'm going to skip the hardwood floors, and pile up X1's from the foundation to the level I want to walk at.

From past experiences, I would rather buy a non shrinkwrapped item that is in NM condition than a shrinkwrapped item that "appears" to be NM. Especially if it is an older item. Just yesterday, I opened a shrinkwrapped N1 only to find that the bottom staple was badly rusted and had stained all the pages as well as the inside of the cardboard module cover. I have had this happen on several occasions. To me, an item that has been removed from the shrinkwrap and is graded as NM (by someone trustworthy), is more valuable than the same item in the shrink...at least for the older items that might have been sitting in someone's damp basement for the past twenty years.

One went for $175 recently as well.  This is just a hard to find item.

I agree with you. I once opened a AC3 I had stored away in the original sw (it was original because I had bought it off the shelf) and it was missing the actual adventure (still had the maps and counters).  I"ve since found many more like this, apparantly AC3 and AC5 had printing problems and unless you open them you'll never know.

Ditto, a couple of years ago I got the City of Greyhawk boxed set in sw, when I opened it, I found that although it never been used, the glue on the books had gone and pages were coming out.

I may be out of line, but is this really the going rate for this module?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... =WDVW&rd=1

Over $US100??

Our valuation has it around $50 for a NM copy, which is probably about right.  In my personal opinion it's worth even less. ;)  The truth is, of course, it's worth whatever someone will pay.

Considering, I just bought a shrinked one last week for $70.00, which was probably high, I would also say yes that is way high.
