Looks like the market is starting to correct itself finally.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Thats the 3rd one in the last couple of weeks to go for less than $75.00.

Might also have something to do with it being summer, prices tend to fall a bit for some reason, I do have to wonder if this would have ended up in the 200 buck range if it had included Blackmoor, Greyhawk and the like (as so many of the OCE lots have in the past).

It also seems that everyone and their uncle is selling a white box right now.

Am I missing something here? These are dice. They look fairly nice but they arent jewel encrusted or gold flecked. They are just small....pieces....of plastic with numbers on them.  :?:

Sure there are 1000 of them.  But $139?

Ooh, the opaque dice look the same as those that used to come in the basic and expert sets...I love those...

...but I don't $139 love them.  I'm with you.  Crazy.

Gotta disagree here. No game store that I've ever been to has sold dice for $0.14 per ;)   And it looks like a lot of those are the vintage plastic ones, which are mildly collectible in and of themselves, if they're in good shape.

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Thanks, Deimos.
Hmm... I didn't even need my snipe for that one, but the system still charged me. ;)

Yup, good timing to catch the price dip, there. *marks date on calendar*.
$74 is pretty much in line for what I paid for the other *mumble* copies.

And a very nice set of the 4th print correction/reference sheets, too. It isn't possible to substitute those from any other printing. :)

so if they are all blank then i am sure that is where they may have got them also.

They're not blank, they're just one-colour plastic. With the old dice, you used a crayon to colour in the indent of the number, and then wiped it off the surface. Made it easier to read :)

The really, really old dice (the only collectible ones, in my opinion) were preinked.  See an example here, from a recent 2nd printing Basic Set auction:

Everything else is just a plastic polygon.

£40.99 for a paperback, at that price, I'd at least want it in hardback ;-)

Heh, I'm guessing he hit the "0" by mistake there. Still, that's over $10 for a paperback book, which is pretty crazy for an online venue ;)

This is the Wrath of Immortals set in shrinkwrap that I just sold for $100.

cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& ... eName=WD1V

The seller was very polite and even emailed me to ask if he could use my picture when he posted the item in his store!  We had some brief conversation and he is branching away from just minis . . .

I've got to say, I'm pretty happy to have gotten $100.   I've never seen one go for over $100 before . . .  Is there really anyone who will pay $229 for that damn thing?  More power to him, I guess. . .  :D  (by the way, I think I listed it as "FINE" condition, but suppose I must have made a mistake, huh?  What do I know?)

Incidentally, here is the link to my own "fun find" where I got this:

Blackmoor, did you look at the pic? Assuming it is still in that shape, NM is pretty reasonable IMO.

It has a huge indent in the box cover, never would I call this NM, fine is reasonalbe.  NM to me would be a couple of soft white corners poking out from the shrink.

Too many people are trying to pass items off as NM just because they are still in the shrinkwrap.
