She is the same person who tried to sell a 3 holed PoVQ some months back.

I think she is still trying to sell the 3-hole punched PotVQ.
I'd be surprised if someone bought a Tsojconth that is 3-hole punched for $895 but who knows...
If it were really mint, I'd buy it.

Here's something (ahem) "interesting". No comments on the subject matter.

I know it's not TSR-related, but it IS an RPG...

The reserve is $1,000. I am pretty leery, since he seems to have quite a few high-end items in shrink............ Besides, it isn't worth $1,000.

The seller talked about it but never officially put it up for sale here.  There was a discussion about the DMG cover art going up for sale, but I guess the seller finalized his arrangement with DCSIII to buy it.  The DMG cover art is the one I would have thrown some dollars at.  I was never too crazy about paladins or b/w art so I'll be passing on this one unless it somehow goes very cheap... which it won't.  Good luck to everyone else, and may it find a good home!

It seems that several significant artworks have been auctioned/bought recently. Any chance of getting pictures into the Acaeum museum gallery? The DM guide cover being the most signficant.

Burntwire, if you win, would you submit a photo of Paladin in Hell to the gallery? The X5 (although not my favorite) cover should be in there too.

Documentation of these original artworks is important to the history of D&D/RPGs.

We will be sending Scott scans of any TSR art prior to 3rd Ed sometime in the near future. Who knows if the PIH will even meet the reserve.

wtf????

Nice buy burnie.

What are you going to do with them?

The auction was actually for the pick of the two signs. We took the undamaged one of course. It will probably go in the D&D room or in the stairway leading there.

Peace,
Burntwire

Hit the jackpot with this one.  A ton of stuff including a Dragon #1, some pastels in the shrink, R1-4, and RPGA1-4.

Hmmm, I don't know if this is interesting or not - appears to be some sort of promotional collection of slides from the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon.

Wouldn't want anyone who might want it to miss it. . . .

Just looking at the Paladin in Hell Artwork - would anyone here (you bunch of experts!) who knows about paper and what happens over time to it be able to tell me why the block capitals SUTHERLAND in a lozenge on the bottom right corner is fairly bright white when everything else is slightly faded - in the description, in classifieds the art paper is described as a bit yellowed. ???

NB. happy to post this in the other section if this isn't the appropriate thread.

They look really nice, but I wonder if that is genuine shrink.  All I can see is the protective sleeve.  The modules almost look too perfect to be true.    8O

BTW, anyone know aneoth?  The guy currently has the high bid on every one of the items!

He has an ebay biography you can read in the "about me" section.

About Me Page Not Found

I am more worried about the seller, almost no recent feedbacks to draw on.

Well, if you compare the Players Handbook Paladin in Hell to the original, you will notice that the "Sutherland" has been moved to just below the right hand of the barbed devil. Since both sets of "Sutherland"s are identical it means that the word had to be literally transferred to a new location, probably by photomechanical means. Perhaps the area was lightened to increase the contrast.

We have a few pieces that are double signed in a similar manner. The artist wanted to make sure his signature will be visible in the finished product. Before they take a photo and burn a plate they just brush on a little white paint then sign over that. Hope this helps. :)
