Well, it's at $785 and the reserve is not met yet..I guess this guy knows what he's selling.  My WIFE is the one stopping me from bidding on it, which is most likley a good thing since I just bought a boat. I'd bid on it just for fun, but with my luck i'd meet the reserve at $786 and no one else would bid on it.

The reserve will be at least $1,000. Unless I'm mistaken, he tried to sell it last year and wanted $1,450 for it.

Well, you could always sell your boat, buy the mono C2 and then fold it up so it looks like a paper boat. One of those two birds with one stone thingies. No, huh?

I have seen that, too! However, the price for the fighting wheel has dropped quite dramtically in the last few months. The current value of a NM copy is only $40 in my opionon.

I think this is due to the fact that this item is not sought by gamers, only by collectors. The demand has decreased, the offer is the same.

Let's watch Paul Stormbergs Fighting Wheel. It is in similar condition:

That auction for the 15 book lot including the Ringbearer.... it ended up at $511. Is the assortment worth that much? I know the Ringbearer is pretty rare, but even so....

I'm not shitting, it is definitely time to sell. Maybe there were more cows in that mad cow herd than they thought, and some slipped into the markets. I'm wearing pretty thin on RPG collecting anyways.

No, this doesn't make much sense to me.  From just the pictures you can definitely tell that the Greyhawk is not a 1st, the Arduin Grimoire #1 is not a 1st and all 3 boxed set books are probably 4th+ printings.  Plus, they're probably VG at best, with price sticker marks.

It's nice to see the value of my current collection go up - except that I'm still trying to make it larger.

SInce no-one's mentioned it yet - here's the choicest collection to go up on e-bay in many years:

That's really bizarre...  I don't see any big ticket items in there that would up the price that high.  Am I missing a rarity in there?
It just makes me glad that I picked up Ringbearer on a whim all those years ago...

I had a $200 bid all lined up for that lot, thinking I could keep that book plus 3 or 4 others that looked interesting, and sell the rest individually. But $511???

I agree about Paul's auctions... some very, very nice items in there.

What would the Ringbearer be worth on its own?

I have seen several Ringbearers sell for around $50 by themselves. I was wanting several of the items in that lot and figured I could recoup some money by selling the rest.

BTW:What is up with all these newbees paying crazy prices? Did a national news show do a piece on RPG collecting?

Don't know but now is the time to sell!  Could it be that all of the old-timers are feeling a bit nostalgic and trying to recapture a piece of their youth?  Maybe D&D is regaining some of its old popularity?  Or is it just an anomaly?

Shit, when Rhea's Crypt of the Smoke Dragon sells for $52, and I paid $2 for mine, it's time to break it up.

I bought a stack of them for $10.00 a while back...
