White box in rather nice condition. Could be 4th edition with the brownish color of the books. Box seems to be pushed a tad inward on the lower side:

Blackmoor D&D Garbage Pits of Despair adventure?

Does anyone know anything about this? Was it in the pictured Different Worlds issue?

I've never heard of it.

It was a two-parter from DW issues 42 and 43.

This listing is very confusing, though. Is he selling both magazines (if so, why is only one pictured)? Is he selling one magazine and just the module from the other? Is he — I hate to say it — just selling photocopies of the adventure? If so, it's a very misleading listing ...

Potential bidders, please proceed with caution.  :?

Why the hell would I try and dump a photocopy on someone while at the same time offering a 14 day return policy with cash back?  Still I revised it to make it more clear.

I only did one picture because the second picture costs extra and I am being cheap with Monday the ten cent listing day.

1. That was but one of three possibilities I mentioned.

2. Sellers "dump" photocopies and/or PDFs on unsuspecting buyers all the time; entire threads are devoted to it here at The Acaeum. It's not like I was breaking any new ground by bringing it up.

3. The listing was incredibly unclear. No one is faulting you for taking advantage of the 10-cent day (I managed to get five or six auctions posted myself, and I wish it had been more), but your listing raised more questions than it answered. Given the current struggle many of us are waging against CD-ROMs, PDFs, and photocopies, the concerns voiced were legitimate.

Books look good, the box looks to be in rough shape.

They've been trying to sell this painting at that price for months with no takers.  They're asking for more than the DMG cover art went for, and with no takers for months one would think they'd take the hint and reduce the asking price.  But for a 10 cent listing, I guess what the hay, they may get lucky just yet.

You can always use a photo hosting site. I suggest using Photo and image hosting, free photo galleries, photo editing since they offer so many possibilities including HTML/IMG tags depending on where you decide to use it, and a large space to store your images.

True skills 8O  :D

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 91324&rd=1

<edit> read the description? Are you kidding me 8O ! This guy will HAND DRAW you a color map for $40! Do you know the kind of work goes into this kind of map? I do! I draw them; you're talking sometimes 40+ hours on a nice color job or more. It's not so much the actual drawing it's the laying it all out so it will make sense and look nice. He's claming 16 to 20 on the black and white rendering. Still at the BIN of $29.99 do the math, at most the guys making two bucks an hour  ! For a skilled artist! This guy should up his price.

It doesn't even seem to be a Dragon Mag cover.  It certainly isn't LotR, as the seller advertises on his site.

Allan,

That's were I saw that painting. I'm not sure right now, but I'll check when I go to the hall later. I saw this painting on the Bay some time back and said "that dosen't look like any LotR art I've seen". I knew I'd seen this art before, and again I think you're right. update later.

I agree. If only the map didn't look like complete shit, it MIGHT be worth. $30. I'd get a better result giving my 3 yeard old a box of crayons and some paper.
