Well, lessee, off the top of my head, Aaron, Allen, Burnout, Improv and of course myself have you beaten like a floor-pissing puppy ...

Thanks Frank ... the cheque is in the mail (literally!) :)

Here's a seller with original D&D ads---are these just magazine pages cut out of the magazines, or ad slicks or what?

No need to feel threatened DEADLORD36, I am certainly not the collector you are evidently 8O . I was just running off at the mouth and enjoying myself. No need to take it personal :?  If my posting causes you and your buddies not to bid then so be it. I dont think the five names or so listed represent all of EBAY or those interested in bidding in my stuff. :D

So to all you others I now have a JADE HARE coverless up now if your interested. Love our game and you too. YES even you FAB FIVE!!! WOOHOO :o

Cool...now I know what to do with my trashed Dragon Magazines.  Cut them up and sell them page by page.  All kinds of old ads in those issues.  Even if I only get $0.25 a page, that'll be several dollars per issue!

I think you guys let this go too cheap. I have seen several black folder versions, but only one of these. I'd have easily paid $500 myself.

It probably went for less because it's a third print, not a first.  But you're right -- the third print is pretty darn rare, maybe even rarer than the earlier prints.

I was under the impression someone else wanted it, but they didn't bid.
Was happy to let it go, anyhow, after the fun-and-games over Tadashi's "black folder" copy.

I enjoyed the seller's passive-aggressive stance on his item: if it doesn't sell for what he wants then he's not relisting to punish us all for our ignorance.

As for why it didn't sell for more than $295 I'd hazard a guess that
1) it's not D&D
2) it's not even rules for an RPG, but rather for tabletop miniatures

I'd like a copy but not for that much.
Just my two coppers...

3) It's not worth more than $295.
