His original bid, $22.  I bid.  Five minutes later, he pumps.  $33, $44, $55.  What will happen next?  Are 3 trashed modules worth $66?
:P

If I accidentally win them, I'll repost them as a US-only auction.  There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Deadlord36 wrote:Man, $583 for an incomplete set? I knew it was a 1st print, but there was no way I was paying that much for it!

*nods*. For anyone without the other "parts", a trashed coverless Volume 2 wasn't going to be a selling point; far less the "understanding" that the box should be horizontal woodgrain (the cover label is cut a bit on the small side compared with 3rd print sets I've seen, though. No?).

As things stand, the OD&D estimates/valuations actively encourage mixing & matching of component parts... (Not good for the researchers amongst us, IMHO).

nice 1st print(??) DMG. (Pity about the name inside, if so).
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5928437134
$7 starting bid with 5+ days to go.

n.b. I haven't asked for printing confirmation details, myself. (*points to the shipping destination addys & comments in the body text*).
Could just be that the whole cover is "shifted" upwards...

All four sets of the Monster Cards, in very good condition.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5928655153
$9.99 opening bid ($24.99 BIN is probably not unreasonable, given the convenience).

Seller also has a number of JG items with decent BIN prices.

First print Monster Manual

Already at $56; 4+ days to go...

(Hence sniping as an (alas, common-sense) strategy, <aneoth>).

Nice one, <invincibleoverlord>. Wouldn't have spotted that so soon :)
(and it's probably quite an easy name/title for people to miss on their searches).

I take it the price label residue "comes as standard" on these?

I've been burned before on this.  The listing states it's 240 pages, which would make me think it's 3rd or later.

From the item description:

'This copy of "Pharoah" was purchased in 1980 at a convention and stored in cello ever since.'

Now, obviously they mean cellophane, but did anyone else crack up laughing imagining someone rolling it up and stuffing it in a cello?  :D

Not a first print. Note the ISBN on the back cover. The cover is just shifted.

Cover seems a bit pale on that Pharaoh.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

The photo is so fuzzy, how can you tell the condition..... :?  ?? Also I got ripped off recently with one of these. I won this Players Handbook that by the photo has to be a 1st - 3rd, and said nothing of a stock photo..I recived a 7th, it did only cost me $12 bucks, but come on......     I tried to contact the seller....No reply of course.... Be careful..... :D
