BTG, the same seller ( of the Necromican) has a Original box set signed by Gygax.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

The seller says 4th print, but from the way the books are arranged in the photo, it looks like he's trying to cover up the OCE stamp on the left of the box top... plus he had it signed in 1980. A bit dubious I would think.

Regards

Mike

Lot contains DSG with a supplement.  I'm presuming it's Dark & Hidden Ways.  Currently no bids at $9.99.

OCE, UK auction, £30 start, no bids.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 5926267895

£30 is a very optimistic start.  But I will be interested to see how well it sells in the UK.

Eep...
Yup, I know the Acaeum valuation, but if it's a choice between paying over the odds for that
or paying over the odds for that VGish(?) copy of "Dwarven Glory" I just picked up, I'll stick
with the latter, thank you...

*g*. Final price was just shy of $135. Winner is also in the running for ST1 II.

The Acaeum listing suggests $75, but then that also says $65(!) for a VG 3rd
print "Dwarven Glory"; so my BIN was even "sillier", in theory.
I'd suggest not, in a head-to-head "interest", rarity, etc., comparison between
those two, but what do I know? ;)

(heh, heh... and I just noticed who was bidding at £65.... so much for the "list
valuation" :P)

some insight into cougarrinard's reserve prices, i didn't meet the reserve on one of his auctions for an R2 and he sent me an email asking for an offer.  below is his reply.  comes  to about $125 US.  unless the item is shrinkwrapped, not gonna happen...

Sometimes I can't figure him out. . . I don't know the exact U.K. fee schedue, but setting a reserve between $50-200 costs $2.00.  This is NOT refundable if the item doesn't sell.  Even if Cougar-blah is on the ball enough to get a listing fee credit (by relisting the item as something that does sell. . . ) he is going in the hole $2 per attempt.  I am sure these have been listed multiple times (I know that several copies of H1 have been listied over and over and over and over and over and over. . .

How many times before the reserve fees eliminate any chance of a profit?

Games Workshop Fairy G1 in VG condition (also D1, D2, D3 from same seller)
cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&a ... 5926488436
At GBP 15.00 apiece, maybe this belongs in "Silliest Auction" thread, I'm not sure.
[edit]
D2 does NOT have the fairy.  The rest do.

Certainly rather steep for a non-mint starting price. Not quite "silliest" territory though, IMO.
They certainly should be more scarce than the U.S. monos, but not as rare as the Ozzie ones (and prices for those are all over the place, but generally high).
But I've said that before...

At last. Good spot!
Been slow going all around for that seller (price might just be the issue ;)).

Easley's "Dragon Lance Adventures" cover at $2,000 seems better value for money/recognition, but still too rich for us proles.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 2272448457

I do like the cute Easley gryphs and the Caldwell piccie, but getting into even higher figures (the seller hopes), there...
