And again...
(unless there's another John around! Yes, there must be, I'm sure...)

Q: Hi Do you have a Buy It Now price for this auction? Regards. John.
answered on: 28-Sep-04
A:  No. I think by offering one I am contravening eBay rules. Sorry yewmount.

"Dungeons And Dragons D&D Dungeon Floor PLans" (GW)

per
Page Not Found

The last one went for a song: excellent condition, but missing a couple of sheets, if I remember rightly...  Silly me for not bothering, even though it was of no great interest... (*ponders reasons for collecting for a second*)
Anyhow; this one has all the sheets (stated), but is a little bit rubbed... *waves to previous auction winner* :D

David.

p.s. I'll say one thing, John: you're quick enough off the mark!

Presume this has been well-spotted, but just in case;

H2 in SW: $23 with 14 hours to go (UK seller, I'm afraid... We seem to have quite a lot of the good stuff, over here)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 5922817169
(a few other SW items on the seller's list at reasonable prices which might make it worthwhile to ship over: C1, N1, I6, RS1, etc.)

And one more reminder on those interesting posters a few pages back, and that (to-be-sniped?) US-only "War of Wizards":

Can anyone identify what the left and middle books are in that?  It looks like the middle one is an old Judges Guild Guide to the City State (how much are those worth?) and the left one is a "Labyrinth"?

It's been a while since an ST1 was for auction so it should be interesting to see how much it goes for.  I don't recall burnie having one so...

Frank, was this question from you .... ?

The line about "I am prepared to bid quite a bit" really made my afternoon :-)

Might just be something to do with the fact you actually got the seller to agree, Frank!

I hold my hands up (again)   But I'm going to keep trying until it works.  Maybe I should start small.  Say a B2 or something.  Either that or I need lessons from Frank.

Quick because I spotted it at work.  Tempting prospect.  One still in shrinkwrap.  Even if it is split.  Good excuse to tear the whole lot off.

Yes, it was me. I am indeed prepared to throw a lot at it.

I think that we are in for an interesting ride on this auction.
And hopefully it might draw a few more copies out from the woodwork.

John,  I think your strategy was just fine.  No need to start small.

As a direct quote from the ST1 seller ...

"Someone who has since placed a bid nearly got the bargain of a lifetime when they asked for a buy it now price. It was only that someone had placed a bid that I declined the opportunity."

You almost had my vote as the best buy of the year.  So don't give up!

I almost cried when I read that.    Probably the closest I'll ever get.

I feel for you.

I was there when the first one was offered for sale on rec.games.frp.marketplace back in 1996.

Please ignore her and let Mike Stackpole handle this:  he's the Industry Watch Committe for GAMA and for years he's defended the industry, performed expert testimony in court cases in a pro-gaming manner, etc.

I've emailed him the link.

Awwwww, you're taking the fun out of it............
I wasn't going to mess with the auction, just get into a minor discussion with her. Under my pseudonym, Mephistopheles.
