I would imagine the XXXXL shirts started as six man tents . . . .

Mind you, I've seen guys who would have needed something that size while at Gen Con over the years.

This goes on the interesting list because I parsed it wrong.  I think they meant "Caverns of the Dead" Dungeon Planner, not "Caverns of the Dead Dungeon Planner".

"Please tell me that this XXXXL thing is a joke. This can't be real, can it?"

Ralf,

We covered this a little on another post. Yes, there are plenty of gamers that would qualify for a XXXXL, and then some!

If you ever get to an American Gencon, you will understand...

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I don't get it.  Maybe I'm just tired and I'm missing something, but is that a Dutch (is that the right word?) auction?  Are they 16 each, or does he want bids, and then you pick your size if you win?

Man, I'm tired. :D

Insert interesting and/or humorous quote here.

The Great Karnak will now make a prediction:

Fraud auction. The seller apparently knows small details, such as Jade Hare being shipped with and without a cover, and which items are "rares", etc., yet he has never used eBay and is unknown in this forum. He's been an eBay member for a little over a month. He doesn't take Paypal or escrow, and he bids on his own auctions, then retracts the bid.
Karnak says he will take the money and run overseas with his collection, if he even has one. I pity anyone who wins this.
I do have an idea, though..........

Howdy again.  I just wanted to clear up a few questions about this auction.  In regard to payment, I accept Paypal (and yes I am verified), check, money order, and I will try to accomodate other methods as they are mentioned to me.  In regard to direct pick up: I am fine with this and all the easier if you live in Texas.  In regard to the bid retraction:  that unfortunately was the action of my wife and it was a complete accident.    I had her recant the bid once I found out, and I will asure any future Bidders that this will not happen again.  Both accounts are hers--very similiar names--and she made this one for me as since I have little experience dealing with Ebay.  I deal primarily with Amazon, up until they changed their policy on ad hominem attacks/opinions of which now I am no longer a member. As far as my collecting, I have been lucky enough to acquire most of my items from private sales, Estate sales, Used book stores throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Zshop sales/autions for the past couple of decades (well, 19 years to be exact).  Whatever the final auction price is, I hope this set can be enjoyed by someone rather than it sit in muggy storage room for an indefinite amount of time. I will answer any further questions as they come.  Please email me at [email protected].

This was added to that huge lot of stuff recently.  Its over $1000 now by the way with a zero feedback bidder pushing the prices higher and higher.

I noticed the addition to the auction. I am sure he will continue to push every bidder until it gets to whatever predetermined price he wants for it.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

The auction is at $1,125 at the moment and there are still 2 days to go.  Jesus, someone's going to lose their shirt on that one.

FWIW, I emailed the guy with some questions about the exact contents, and he provided a spreadsheet with details, and he added conditions on the items worth caring about.  He seems like a nice guy....

Hello all,

That odd little D&D auction closed at $6,600.  The winner, interestingly enough, was a zero feedback bidder.

A zero feedback winner. A wife who "accidentally" bids on her husbands auction. Fishy, fishy. I haven't checked, but I get the feeling it is way overpriced, too.
