That was an upset!  Gnat took the Ludditte league over LucyJoyce who had the best record in the league this year....I'd blame Luck (as in Andrew Luck), who had a robust 2 pts on Sunday to sink the Screaming Iguanas.  Congrats Gnat!  I had won the last threee championships in a row and I wasn't even in the finals this year.

Gnat also won the Acaeum league...amazing!  What a double play.

I thought I had a good chance, but as Mike noted, Luck was not on my side.  Congratulations Gnat!  And how you manage to win both leagues, I don't understand.  I am usually in last place in one and first place in the other.  Well done, and enjoy dusting your trophies until next year when I promise to give you a run for your money.  Fun season!

Always tough to win either of the two leagues (ACL and Luddites) we play every season let alone both...
As Lucyjoyce said they are not even the same types of leagues with different rules and scoring.

Even more amazing in my win against the always tough Lucyjoyce team is that my star WR (AJ Green) got me a goose egg, scoring ZERO points.
Another WR made up for him though scoring 34 points alone..... Odell Beckham is the real deal and was the top WW pickup of the season for me.
However it was the scoring of my three starting RBs that sealed the deal in that win.
FJax, Stewart (A last minute WW pickup) and Forte all had nice production.

It was a very good year for about half of my fantasy teams.
Half of my teams made the playoffs, 4 had a BYE week and three of four teams that made the finals won.
I won one of my main Dynasty Leagues for a very nice cash prize and placed second in another.

Well, we have five teams returning to the Luddite League but need at least three more!  Below is the invitation link....

Join League | Fantasy Football | Yahoo Sports

The Luddite league has been around since 2007 (Wow!) and it's composed primarily of Acaeum members.  Lots of fun, trash talking, and usually Lucyjoyce beats everyone (except I won three years in a row and Gnat won last year....so Lucyjoyce will be out for blood!)

Out for blood indeed! My problem is that I am too sentimental. And wishy-washy. I actually liked Tim Tebow in his game this past week. That bodes ill.

Mike,  will it be auto draft or have you set a draft date?

Hope some members of the forum will join us. If you're not afraid to play against a girl.

I'll set a draft date, probably looking at 28th or 29th...

EDIT:  Ok, draft time is 11am Saturday the 29th (central time). Returning teams may select ONE player on last year's roster as their "keeper"....this is your first round pick.  Please let me know the player before Friday, August 28th so I can enter then into the system.

If you cannot make the draft, the program will do it for you, so no worries. Drops and pickups start the next week (season doesn't start until Thursday Sept 10th so you will have plenty of time to fine tune your lineup).

We have eight teams, hoping we have ten teams before the deadline!

Still looking for one last team!  if you can, sign up and help us fill the league!

If you have a keeper from last year's team, please let me know this week so I can enter the name by Friday...

It's been a while, but if you need one more team.... I'll resurrect the Gelatinous Cubes for another year of football. Their track record isn't good (they're slow moving cubes of jelly after all), but they were champions one year so let's see how they do in 2015.

Demand of them whither they should comme to devide the worlde with the Emperour? And as they answered, he tooke up his shirte behinde and shewed them his buttocks, sayenge unto them, drawe your Lyne throughe the middest of *this* place.

Thanks Mike!

Any returning teams (Iguanas, Purple Dragons, Raiders, Dragonlancers, and Gumby Time) who wishes to hold over a player, please let me know now.  Sharkadelica has already given me their player. You can PM me or post here, thanks!

I'm leaning towards keeping Demetryus Thomas, myself (thanks Jordy Nelson for making that decision a little easier, ouch...)

About to leave for work.
Unlikely to be able to make the draft, sent the league a note from the site.
Still want to keep Odell.
Good luck to all and I know we will have great competition as always.

Keepers are set for the Ludditte league.

I might have sketchy attendence also, which has never boded well for my performance (the computer doesn't use it's brain when picking for you, even if you customize the players).

If I can, I'll be there to greet everyone!  Good Luck!

Draft is done, and I feel OK about my team in the Luddite league. Had a connectivity issue in rounds three and four which was a pain - after my first two picks were in, autodrafter took over for the next two and landed me two players that I didn't want - Latavious Murray and Deandre Hopkins. I might have looked at them after round 7, but not that early.

I got onto Yahoo today to check the team, and saw a draft report was available - looks like they put me at the bottom of the class, with a D. So my confidence is a little shaken. Then I read the report card itself:

Yikes. Was this on purpose? We'll assume it was and that maybe the GM Gelatinous Cubes was just having an off day. Some work will be required if Gelatinous Cubes wants to finish anywhere other than last. Projections suggest they'll go 0-14-0 (1,744 points). They went after guys who can tote the rock with their early picks, using three of their first five picks to scoop up RBs C.J. Anderson (first round), DeMarco Murray (second round), and Latavius Murray (fourth round). They landed the bottom group of WRs in the league, as they have DeAndre Hopkins, Jeremy Maclin, Brandon Marshall, and Stevie Johnson on their team. Yikes. At least it can't get any worse. In fact, if you nominate yourself for the Toyota Hall Of Fame, you'll be an official nominee. Feel better?

Oy.... 0-14 is the prediction? Two uses of the word yikes? Could be a long year for the Cubes....
