LucyJoyce with Peyton Manning... 50+ points...

You almost had me there at the end, IO.  5 points was all that separated us.  Love Manning, but the rest of my team is on notice.  Might have to make a few changes to my roster.  As usual.

Heh... What would be an average day for a normal quarterback was a sub-par day for Brady! If he put up another touchdown and 100 more yards, I would have won...

Hey Invincible Overlord,

Well I don't know what to say... you should have beat me in week 1.
Somehow I managed to just edge you out and now have to deal with Badmike in week 2. :P

Best regards,
Ronald

Ok.  New week for me, since I had no players in the Thursday night game.  I'm predicted to win one league by a smidgen, and lose the other by a bit wider margin.  But we all know that things change.  Good luck to all, and now to give my locker room pregame speech before the Ladies of Pain and the Screaming Iguanas take the field.  My dogs will be listening attentively.

Hey everyone,

New week and wow I just got smacked upside the head by Mike and his busy little Shrews... :P

Aaron Rodgers smoked Drew Brees and it was all downhill from there...

All my guys are finished, Mike is 22 points ahead, and he's still got Frank Gore on the field...

Ouch... hope I can bounce back from this bad week.

Oh and to add insult to injury I just found out that Mike's backup QB had more points than Brees did...

Best regards,
Ronald

2-0 in the Luddite League going for my three-peat.

0-2 in EVERY SINBLE OTHER LEAGUE I am in.  Oddly enough, I have nearly the same team in every league, just bad luck in most of them to be playing someone that outscored me.

Typically luck more than skill will matter in fantasy football....

Well, halfway through the season and I'm in my customary place down near the bottom of the Luddite league. 2-6 is a typical record for the Cubes it seems. I don't know what it is about this league - I usually do OK in fantasy football (I play in 3 leagues, and my other teams are 7-1 and 6-2), but I always get crushed in the Luddite. This week was no exception - a horrible beat down 162-80, inflicted by Mike B's Shrews.

I know I've been hit worse than usual by injuries this year, but there is enough talent in the FA pool that I should be able to cope. But while teams like Gumby start no-names like Marvin Jones and Ellington this week for huge numbers, my replacements score way below their projections.

Ah well... I'll start planning for next year.

Regards
Mike

Im at or around .500 in all my leagues this year (5-3, 4-4, 3-5) . Nothing in the tank but time is running out unless some of these teams go on big runs. The funny thing is I dont feel I have any bad teams, just bad luck and injuries (Randall Cobb was on nearly all of my teams) Some under achievers havent helped either (pick it up Aaron Rodgers)

No kidding. I only needed 10 pts to win in one league with Rodgers playing.  Now I have to go to my backups in nearly all my leagues. Fuck Rodgers!

Rodgers? I swapped out the miserable Tom Brady for Russel Wilson.

HAH!

Honestly... I do this for the lesson of humility...

IO I dropped Brady in one league...he's been miserable beyond compare before last weekend (ranking at about #17 or worse in most standard scoring leagues) and I had Rivers already (and picked up Alex Smith as my backup).  Now watch Brady rack them up the rest of the season...

After a ridiculous come from behind victory vs the mighty Roglaroon Raiders, the Tegel Shrews advance to the Luddite championship for the third year in a row. Can they three-peat?  The Dharmaniacs will be in their way, and once again the Shrews will be the underdog.  The Shrews all season have been, well, lucky, winning at least two games with the lowest winning score in the league that week, and surviving many injuries to key players to somehow keep rolling to a 10-4 record.  The Dharmaniacs barely slipped into the playoffs with an 8-6 record but managed to get past the #1 seed Purple Dragons to make the finals.

Rolling with Alex Smith at QB (with that punk-ass Aaron Rogers nursing a sore pair of milking teats, poor baby), the Shrews have benefitted from a career day this past Sunday from Smith for their come from behind victory, but Smith has been strong the past few weeks (#3 in the league the last four weeks of the season).  The Dharmaniacs have advanced to the finals with the surprising Phillip Rivers at QB, who is now ranked the #4 scoring QB in the league  Both teams have great WR corps (Bryant and Gordon for the Shrews, Johnson and Jeffreys for the Dharmaniacs) with more average RBs (Bush and Gore for the Shrews, Johnson and Rice for the Dharmaniacs).  Both teams have some good matchups coming into the final game, but the tipping point may be at Defense, where the Dharmaniacs boast the Seahawks (#2 in the league) and the Shrews are betting on the clown-car that is the NY Giants offense to hopefully cough up points to the newly acquired Lions Def this weekend, some might say it's a desperate gamble but the Shrews are counting on Mr. Interception (aka Eli Manning) to supply the points and hopefully make up for the Seahawks superior play.  Should be a great championship game!
