I spoke to Rob again on Sunday or Monday night, and he continues to sound better.  I'll try to post an update to the PPP site tonight or tomorrow with some additional details.

Right and I am still hoping they come in.......... and even more hopefully not bent in half and stuffed into the small mail box by my local postal worker in her little postal truck driving by the standard Bricked up federaly approved and locally regulated mail receptical.

Rob had so many problems with copies of Tower of Blood going missing that he's likely not planning to ship USPS Media Mail in general any longer.  (And, for the record, I'm in for 2 LE copies of BC too).

I haven't had a chance to talk to him the past couple of days, but should be able to do so tomorrow, after I recover from my hellacious work trip to CA.

yeah i am really excited man. its gonna rock big time though i am damn sure i wont feel that way while doing it. the MDS is at the end of march - my 3rd time in 3 years. the mongol rally is a car race - the student version if you like of the gumball rally. your car has to have an engine capacity of LESS than 1 litre, ie 1000cc. so you can imagine the fun you have choosing a car :)

gonna be an absolute scream, specially with the two guys who are doing it with me. a scot and a south african - 2 of the funniest guys i know.

RJK on PPP boards wrote:The first wave of 30 pre-orders for BC were shipped yesterday; probably 90 more orders to fulfill. My apologies, but I'm now just coming up to speed. John (Deogolf) drove me to the Post Office to do this as my uninsured vehicle was recently stolen (on the 7th of this month) and I have no immediate transportation because of that. Yep. When it rains it pours. John will be helping me mail the remaining orders over the next week, so everyone please thank JS for this when he gets back from the WinterDark Con in Lake Geneva (where he was heading after dropping me back at home).

So, now that a Bottle City has actually been delivered, are they still for sale?

LE includes a single-sheet poster version of the BC map (on nice quality paper, not the magazine paper they were using in the LGG and Dragon), as well as a reproduction of the original manuscript.  In addition to the module, and whatever signatures/certificates/etc. that Rob worked out for BC (he'd been experimenting on different ways to improve those).

SE includes the poster as two 11x17 sheets, probably not on as nice a paper, but I don't recall for sure, and does not include the original ms. reproduction.

Both versions include a URL to allow you to download my transcription of the original manuscript, broken out on a page-by-page basis with editorial/textual notes.  I don't think this was posted yet, though---will ping Rob on that again tonight.
