The item being relisted "minus the objectionable language" (bclarkie) doesn't mean a whole lot now of course, as the damage to the seller's veracity has already been done.  There remains the taint from the previous auction snafu...  He may very well still be fishing for offers, but just not stating it so openly now.  Which, in a way, means that the seller was being _more_ honest with the original auction, which members got pulled from eBay because it smacked of dishonesty.  Ironic.

Has anyone here actually had a bad transaction with this seller?

It'll still sell for a ton..but hopefully if so it will be in an legit auction, not some sort of "toss out your best offer and I may or may not let you have it" thing the guy was trying.  Again I agree with Mars, it's just an extremely lazy listing....what with the cut and paste from the Acaeum page (didn't Doug get absolutely eviscarated for doing this a few months ago?????), the extremely high opening bid, only two scans (and not very good scans, they look like the ones I toss out there when I'm listing a $9.99 item).  It just stinks of someone gauging interest in an item, trying to find out what it might be worth without actually selling it.  Nothing wrong with that, I guess, still....

I guess you got lucky then, otherwise I am missing the point.

The point is that I think >70 dollars for a SW WGA4 is overpriced. But then, I'm the first one who is ready to pay more than an item would actually deserve, but in those cases I don't feel proud*.

* Meaning I feel silly and prodigal.

I respectfully disagree and for 2 reasons.  First off and foremost, opened copies of WGA4 typically sell in the $30 to $40 range, so $70 particualrly when looking at agaionst other modules and the differences they sell in-shrink versus unshrinked, $70 really could be considered undervalued.  :)  Secondly, I have been looking for a shrinked WGA4 for awhile now and thats the 1st one I have seen in a long, long time.

Do you think the excellent condition comment, is meant as an accurate grading of it condition?  I see staple rust on the coverless one and what looks like discoloration/stains on the front page.

I'd assume the other one would have the same un-excellent problems. ;)

I believe I sold a WGA4 that wasn't in shrink for $70 a few years ago.  I don't remember it being in shrink when I got it at the Game Store originally.  So yes, all it takes is a couple of bidders that have to have it.

Yeah, I've bought playing copies of stuff from the guy before.  His "excellent" is sort of a catch-all for anything that's anywhere from somewhat to very worn.

180 and 90 bucks....why wouldn't the seller let the market dictate the price by making them 25 bucks with a reserve?

Classic description:

Item is in excellent condition other than the fact that the cover is missing.  There is also a 1" hole in the last page.

Sounds like a blind date I once had..."The chick is great other than the fact she can't speak English....."  Actually, thinking about that now, it might have been a point in her favor...

I haven't seen this too often. Not in shrink anyway.

Please note that my auction for the 3 volume set includes the reference sheets. I forgot about them, and didn't note them at first. Pictures of the reference sheets are now on the auction.

Also, I have the Greyhawk, Blackmoor, and Eldritch Wizardry supplements, and a copy of Arduin Grimoire listed now. I think they're all basically near mint, but I'm going to look them over more carefully before adding the grading to the auction, so don't assume this as yet.

Anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive Dragon Magazine Archive:

I sold one of my shrink wrap copies for $350.00 a few weeks back, so $80-$125 complete with box etc isn't too bad for those that don't have one

Looky who bought the Tamo.  For $279 less than the BIN no less.  First time I noticed one of the other scans.  Is that a photocopy of Quest for the Fazzlewood in the last picture?  :?

I was the one who posted the details question to the hammerhead. I'm sure FallacyMuseum asked some very detailed questions. However, unless the wag threw in Fazzlewood with the Tamo, $2K was too much.
