What kind of crap is that?  I'll sell it on Ebay and if they don't get any better side offers their sell it to the winning bidder?  Time to report.

Perhaps said seller does not know there is a "best offer" option. Someone could put a world of hurt on the seller by doing the BIN and then getting that "I'm not selling it to you" email... they call that fraud, I think.

There is no BIN on the item just a high starting bid.  I think "best offer" only officially works if there is a BIN.

Ahh, my mistake. I figured if he said "won't take a buy it now" then there was, in fact, a BIN...

But, I love the "THIS BOOK IS NEVER  ON EBAY....IT MAY BE THE ONLY CHANCE YOU'LL EVER HAVE TO GET THIS BOOK" followed by a price-auction history.

I found this amusing:

The book weight about .150kg. I ll send priority first class mail .

i'll combine shipping for multiple winning auctions.

TAKE NOTE THAT SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL FOR MORE THAN 2KG CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE.

Wow. Is this the rare ultra large folio version? I may be able to afford the item but whether I can afford first class shippping to Australia remains questionable.

Edit. Ahh my poor failing eyesight. It seems there is a decimal point. I read it as 150kg - that is one heavy module.

Perfect! Wonderful!! Magnificent!!!

NOW, I know how to list my poor little ol' run of the mill author's personal
Designer Copy, 1 of only 3 or 4 known to exist, Ghost Tower of Inverness.  :o

Thank you, SOOOOO MUCH for showing me the way to get the greatest possible interest and the absolute highest price!

But, if anyone is interested, I do have several ULTRA RARE Tunnels & Trolls items currently listed on eBay.  :)

I'm auctioning off my D&D stuff on ebay. The books and manuals have been sitting in a briefcase unused for the last 20 some odd years, and it's time for me to sell them. Once I take some pictures, I'll also be auctioning off some supplements.

And it's been removed.

Question is whether the seller removed it or eBay took issue with him outright stating that he was willing to sell to somebody other than the winning bidder.

Just wondering, does a seller lose their fees if Ebay removes their auction?

EDIT:  I just looked it up and it seems Ebay can't really decided if they charge the fee or not:

eBay fees on listings cancelled due to a policy violation may or may not be refunded, depending on the policy violated and/or the seller's prior (non)-compliance with eBay policies.

Yes, and I think a good follow-up question from there would be, if eBay removed the listing, was it as a result of someone from here reporting it to them?  I think that action --trying to get an auction for a rare D&D item removed from the open marketplace --would be antithetical of what is promoted here by this collective.

bonk!
