My thoughts exactly.  Something about those GenCon auctions...prices usually lower from my understanding, though admittedly not first-hand.  :D

Have a great time, Al.  Wish I could be there.   :D   And best of luck at the auction!  I would advise trying to lift Blackmoor's credit card the night before.

Stealing is wrong.  I was thinking about using some ground up hyacinth or daffodil bulbs.  Within about an hour of ingestion the recipient is vigorously spewing from both ends.

Thanks for the offer Allan!

That is very kind.  Sadly for me my dissertation has to be in the end of August and I am waaaay behind, so it is study study every day for the rest of the month.  It's not that bad though - I have a reader's pass at the British Library - which is about as wonderful a place to read and think as one can find.  Anywhere.

Not that I am not tempted though  :D

I see with 5 bids and the price standing at a whopping $1.25, the reserve has still not been met.

There is something very odd though about that auction. How is it the bidders identities are private even though it is under $100?

Well unless I am wrong, that means his reserve is more than $200.  Consiodering he listed it as a "Featured item"(and thus listing fees of ~$20 or so), he obviously believes it too be about 10 times what its real value is.....
