I'm getting a bad feeling about that extra book.  First time I saw one was here:

Apparently the seller who doesn't seem to know much about it happened to have one for each D&D item they are selling - the page count is now also down to 42 pages from 46 earlier.

Silver anniversary set - in fact there have been a couple posted on ebay uk today (cheepo listing day I think) - the other one has a reserve - so my bid on it is £49.99

(and there's a split box from the same chap as well -  I'm bidding on the box only :D )

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

Joe Dever (born 1956, Chingford, England) is an award-winning British fantasist and game designer. Originally a musician, Dever became the first British winner of the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Championship of America in 1982.

He created the fictional world of Magnamund as a setting for his Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. In 1984 he released the first book of the Lone Wolf series of young-adult gamebooks, and the series has since sold over 9 million copies worldwide. He experienced difficulty with his publishers as the game books market began to contract in 1995, until publication ceased in 1998 before the final four books were released. Since 2003, however, the series has enjoyed a strong revival of interest in France, Italy and Spain following the re-release of the gamebook series in these countries.

From 1996 onwards, Dever was involved in the production of several successful computer and console games. He also contributed to a Dungeons & Dragons-style role playing game for Lone Wolf, and he is currently Lead Designer of a Lone Wolf computer game scheduled for release in 2009.

Page 3 is embossed with the personal library seal of Joe Dever
(AD&D World Champion 1982 & 'Lone Wolf' author)

Apparently, he was also the "World Champion of AD&D."

I believe that competition involves sitting in lazy boy chairs telling about various adventures you've either played or DM'd until the last man nods off.

From Dever's Wikipedio Entry:

Dever won on his classic, "My Dwarf Failed His Saving Throw" story, in which he describes how many ways he tried to argue with the DM that his character should not actually have to roll a save at all.  The count was up to 721 when the last championship rival's eyes rolled up into his head.  Dever himself passed out seconds later, but revived to accept the trophy.  Legend has it that several of the contestants remain unconscious to this day...one of them apparently mumbling "caryatid columns" in his sleep from time to time.

Heck, I've got a box only in fantastic shape I'll sell for $10.00 plus actual shipping! I had no idea they were worth that much.  I hope Mike doesn't mind me undercutting his business.

Shipping for 1 pound and 8 ounces is $13.60.  Grand total is $23.60.  I will be shipping on Monday morning early.  I'll PM you my e-mail address and you can Paypal me that way or you can reply with your e-mail address and I'll invoice you. :)

If you send me your e-mail address, I'll send you pictures if you like.  I did double check the item and one corner is slightly dented in, but I really couldn't find anything else wrong with it.  If you have any other questions, just ask.
