bclarkie wrote:I am assuming this was me. :) Mark is right, my shipping to Canada would have actually been $10($12 for outside North America) for Priority Mail or if you would have wanted I would have shipped it First Class for like $5 or $6. You should have asked.

I recently paid $12 for a gaming book to be shipped from the US to Canada.  I had assumed at that price, it would be in a flat-rate Priority envelope.  These cost $9 to Canada, assuming the weight is under 4 lbs.  (Even so, the guy was tacking on a bit of a handling fee.  Whatever, I wanted the book.)

However, it showed up in a flimsy First Class envelope without any padding.  It cost him about $6 to ship, so he was charging another $6 shipping and handling.  He only got four stars on "shipping and handling charges".  I know some of you probably think that's a horrid thing to do, but I don't -- that's exactly what it's for.  (He got five on the rest of the star ratings, and he got a positive as the book showed up in the condition described.)

Back to the main point -- International Priority Mail just isn't worth it for single, mid-grade modules.  Ask the seller to ship it via First Class unless you're buying two or three at a time.  (Or if the modules are of a higher grade than VG!)

I think you were overly generous, deimos:  he'd've gotten 3 stars from me.

Anyone got any idea what these are?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

What's got me confused is the page counts, which, in my experience, don't match up with the pictures. The seller confirmed the page counts too.

I'm thinking that they're some of the books from the Complete Starter Set.

Can't say for certain, but the page counts match three of the books listed as being in there.

Yes, in fact it was written by the same infinite number of German/English-bilingual monkeys with typewriters who create his modules.

My copy of the First Orange B3 is in original shrink wrap and is in better condition than that one is, with no dings at all. 8) Without opening it of course to view possible rusting of the staples, I feel it is near pristine.

That Mint B3 SW along with my second Edition Near Mint Woodie are the best of the few items that Badmike did not obtain through his large purchase of most of my RPG collection a couple of years ago. Although both he and Kingofpain have seen all of the items I had then.

Just terrible marketing on this one by the seller, have to believe he has no clue about what it's worth...have to believe a dozen or so people are waiting at the last minute to snipe it, could be what drives it up to typical Tamo prices.
