Thanks for the info.  There are too many sellers on Ebay that find it necessary to mislead the people they are selling to.  Has happened to me a few times and I have lost pretty much any trust I may have had in Ebay sellers with the obvious exception of a few.

Congratulations on the new baby!

I really like the way this seller uses the item to try and sell itself.

Not to be a negative person or to disagree with no really good reason, but if I paid 3 THOUSAND for a woodie Boxed set, it had better be shipped in a steel case, with foam and paper protecting the wood grain box and the contents. Guarded by a police dog with rabies and a HUGE guard that has had his tetanus and rabies vacs and shots, and can shoot very well with his 3 guns.

50 bucks for SH would not bother me a bit, so long as the box arrived safe and in perfect condition....

Up from the one Bombadil won anyway.  I wasn't sure what to make of the whole staple thing.  It should have been pretty easy to tell if there are staple holes in the book or not.  Not sure why the seller was wishy-washy on that one.

If the seller has good feedback and is clear that the item is in great condition, then I reckon that goes a long way. There is always an element of risk  :)

Shameless self-promotion, but it may be of interest to someone here.

Not too bad looking OCE with Blackmoor supplement:

Tell you one thing though...whoever wins the auction better tell him he better not ship it to them in a padded envelope unless they want it flattened by the time it gets there.

The starting bid will probably scare most people away.  You may want to post this in the classifieds section.

Unfortunately it is a U.S. only auction.  Read a little further down and you find out why:

Wonder if he ever sold anything to Cougar?  Jeez!  :o

Alright this now belongs in the Silliest Prices thread.  8O   When they released them they were $10 apiece for the books....they weren't worth that then and frankly they aren't worth that now (at least in my opinion anyways...disagree all you like).

Fess up!  Which one of you guys sent the seller the questions?
