TSR first filed for a trademark on that logo in October 1994, so it was probably not used for the 20th anniversary; they still used the gold bar with TSR logo for most of that year.

The paperwieght is probably from the 25th or Silver Anniversary, as it is the same logo used on the Silver Anniversary boxed set; it was the same logo used until the end of the TSR mark...

I think it's 20th (created in 1995). I've seen these go for less than the $700 asked here, though (but not by much). Lovely piece.

I sold issue number 1 and 2 in just as good a shape for only $14.39. :?  (Ebay item number
** expired/removed eBay auction **
.)  I guess that's not too bad seeing as I got them for free twenty plus years ago. :) Still, they are interesting pieces of history and you don't see them too often.

Deities and Demigods including the mythoi of Cthulhu and Melnibone in a 6 book lot for $30 (AUS) BIN auction. Alas the DREADED CONTACT is on the cover of these books - a cheap buy for someone (Australian) wanting to furnish the bookshelf with the core and supplements of 1st Edition AD&D, who doesnt already have them.

The Fringe Dweller using his climb walls skills clambers to the top of the castle tower and proceeds into the darkened corridors of the abandoned Castle of the Long Moon - fabled to hold riches beyond mere mortals imagination.

Ok put this on my watch list today just to see where it landed and someone spoiled my fun by using BIN for $500.

Lots of good stuff to get a collection started but the BIN seemed a bit high.  Plus where's all the fun scouring Ebay looking for the best deals?

Enjoy.

Well when the "someone" that bought the lot is Troll & Toad, you should expect some stupidity.  :P

He didn't do too bad.  62 items, including all five boxed sets and the DA-series.  I'm not sure he can make a profit, but if he was just collecting them he'd have saved a bunch on shipping.  The stupidity is throwing these in his store for an outrageous price.

It's both a "xerox" (old-school euphamism for a copy) and the "original manuscript"...  I'm sure it's neat and all, but I don't understand the product positioning from the Burnt Bros. on this one...  It seems like a real mess to me.

bonk!
