is there a cut off date when tsr stopped printing AD&D modules and started printing second edition AD&D modules? if there is what is it?

Well, Child's Play, which advertises itself as compatible with both 1st and 2nd edition, is dated 1989. I don't know when the last 1st edition only module was printed, however.

Not that long ago, if you count L3.

But otherwise, 1989 was what immediately popped into my head.

WG8 Fates of Istus predates Child's Play and was also a 1e/2e compatible.  I think the first cross edition modules came out at the tail end of 1988.  With the introduction of 2e in 1989, the rules transition within the modules was completed.

Wasn't Fate of Istus the first module advertised as both 1e and 2e compatible?  If that's the case, then I think it's the start of '89 for the first 1e/2e modules, with the end of '89 having only 2e compatible modules.
