I am bumping this strand from last month.

Anyone else want to weigh in?   :)

Re-bump!

I'm an active gamer (have been since I got back into it around 2002), but I'm also looking into an era I just missed when I first got into gaming - I got into it right on the cusp of 2nd edition, so all the classic modules are pretty much fresh, to me - and liking what I see.  Therefore, all in all, it's a mix of stuff I actively want to use, reliving my childhood a bit, and going back even further to explore the history of the hobby.

Plus I'm just an incurable packrat.  ;)

Oh to have been savvy about collecting during those golden years at the end of the 80's and the start of the 90's.  A lot of the old stuff was just lying around waiting to be picked up for 99 cents!  8O

No kidding.  I picked up most of it at around that price, but unfortunately, I then proceeded to destroy it through gameplay, and sell the rest for rent in the mid-90s.

I'm still an active gamer so any product from any edition is potential source material for me.   The nostalgia factor is also very high with me.

Which is one reason why I have picked up a number of 3.0 and 3.5 publications now...rather than late.

I'm just collecting now; too busy with work & family, I'm afraid.

I was an active player (mostly DM) for many years, years ago.

It's a nice feeling to have all the old material in the house and every now and again I'll pick one up and have a look.

Odd really.

It's mostly nostalgia now, although I love auctions, especially in-person ones. Finding a great deal is always fun too.
