Complete collection?  Then what is all this extra crap I have in bookcases?  I guess I dont need any of this extra junk anymore...might as well just give it to Goodwill.

Don't try snagging the photo from the auction to print out your own copies -- OF COPIES -- of character sheets, you fools

Thankfully all the sheets are "drilled" and fear not, as

NOTE:  The picture included with this auction is a scanned image of the player character record sheet.  The word COPY will not appear on or across the sheets you receive.

Hey look, it only took about a month before the new site updates get quoted in current ebay auctions

:)

This is the "4th Gamma Edition" of the classic Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual by Gary Gygax, printed in 1979.

or otherwise he'd be forced to say "here's my 7th Gamma Minus printing with reversed artwork on pg 108"

Is this a fair price, or is it way off. I don't see anything super rare in this bunch (some uncommon items like a B10, Rules Compendium, etc.). I think it's way off...

If you are talking about the asking price of $2500.00, yes, it's off.  If you are talking about what it was bid up to, $1551.65, that's fine IF it's true that most everything is near mint/excellent condition.  The Immortals boxed set, B10, and X10 stood out to me, but those are not super rare finds.

Truth is worth finding and life is too short to work for money.

I got an email back from the seller.  These were the only known copies in New Orleans to survive hurricane Katrina.  The covers were used as canoe paddles.

For the seller, I guess that's their only "cover" story

Perhaps it was insensitive of me, but that's exactly what I thought of when Katrina happened. Oh those poor D&D collections...

That looks like more than "some" (I'm glad the seller at least posted photos of this, so I'm not completely bagging on him)

This is a great lot of dungeons and dragons manuals! A few have peoples names written in them and some have artwork drawn in them.

Am debating whether to buy the D&D items or the lacy thong or both.

That actually would make a very interesting module...just some extra powerful potions of diminution and you're set. You could call it 'Fantastic Voyage'...wait, it's been done!

It must have been relisted too.

I saw that same book early last week.
