Hillarious...because the first thing I did when I read his comments about watchers was to click on "watch."  THEN I went to the next page in this strand and found out everyone else did the same.

OK>>>I just went back and set up to watch all his auctions.  :D

I'm trying to think up a clever "watching" question to ask him.

Which goes to show that a well-written auction description can be money in the bank...as opposed to a whiney tirade about people watching your auctions, complete with an insulting word.

(Although...I'm not sure being called a Muppet is necessarily bad....?)

$142 isn't bad for a rant.

She got linked to on a fair number of high-traffic sites; I'm not surprised.

On the other hand, I'll be amused if this turns out to be like the wedding dress guy. ;)

On 23-Aug-07 at 09:44:15 BST, seller added the following information:

**Update**

I notice that since putting these comments on, a large number of "watchers" have sprung out of the woodwork for my items. Gosh, that was a really unexpected and witty thing for you all to do (its difficult to portray in text something dripping with sarcasm but you get the idea - unless you really are f*ing stupid).

My, what wacky, alternative and original people you all are. The long winter evenings must just fly by in your houses, as you sit there drooling vacantly and congratulating yourselves on your lack of wit.

Wow!  That guy is a charmer!  8O

We're talkin' honey-tongued devil here!

This is a man who knows how to get customers and attract bidders!

I wish there were a way to watch him more...like maybe a setting where my Ebay watch feature stares harder or something.  :D

My question to the seller:

Hi:

As an American, I am having trouble understanding your charming English accent.

Are you saying that you don't want people to watch your auctions?  Are you possibly asking a question? Or, is it that you fear some other sort of watchers...possibly supernatural?

I mean, in English English "watcher" might mean anything from "one who watches" to "what are you" to "water" or "watch out."

You witty English people have such charming accents!  Which "watcher" did you mean?

"But I have watched the dragons come, fire-eyed, across the world."
