This seller is geeking out a bit too much in the description.  What is he talking about?

Sure, but it's better than the HUGE LOT listings we see... all of which have about five items.

I don't know, with GenCon coming up, maybe this wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Good marketing idea but maybe not the best execution.

Isn't Gygax's name on the book anyway?

"All the books are in fairly good condition"

Are you absolutely sure?

but they are old and may be wrinkled, scuffed or marked inside with pencil.

Oh, ok.

The photos show the condition better than I can describe it.

The photo on this just looked really funny to me. Is that supposed to be Warduke?

Check this thing out...a spiral bound 2e PHB. I was going to post this in Report Copyright Infringement thread, but the description/rationalization is too funny.

I have no idea if TSR released this as a soft cover version, or if someone copied a hard cover edition and formatted it into this spiral.  Judging from the darkness of some of the graphics, it looks like photo copies.  That having been said, it is complete (255 pages), totally readable, and showing little or no wear.  It has a plastic protector on the front and sturdy black cardboard type back page.

As if the cut-off artwork and text on the cover isn't an obvious clue, too.

Assuming there's any type of age to this at all, I'd think it'd cost more to do this than it would to actually buy the book  8O

255 pages scanned/printed, spiral binding, covers(coverstock) etc

I have no heart to report this as a copyright infringement.  That photocopy and binding job seems worth something just as an artifact.
