** expired/removed eBay auction **

This doesn't really qualify as laughable but it's close enough.

I really don't hold much regard for sellers who make it the responsibility of the buyer to find out the details of the item being sold.  Are the sets complete???  I guess it's up to me to ask.

The laughable part is the sentence "You may not make a claim with Paypal as my items are sold as is".

The rectangular prism of a book is of course 'the lozenge-shaped world of Glorantha.'

I think the only time that strategy (saying the item is sold as-is) would be a device that is advertised as non-operational. E.g., I sold a couple of minidisc recorders that were kaputt, and I very clearly advertised them as such. Because they were sold as-is, someone couldn't come back and say "they don't work!" But, I guess it's that the item has to fit the description.

The thing that really tees me off is this seller (and others) makes it incumbent on the buyer to find out what they are bidding on.  I mean really, it should be up to the seller to describe what they are selling (I can't tell what's in the boxes) otherwise he is running nothing more than a mystery grab bag auction and should denote that in the title. :x

I would love to see him complain to eBay.

MuppetCat:  I have a problem with your system.

eBay:  Yes?

MuppetCat:  People are watching my auction.

eBay: And?

I'll go add all his to the watchlist.
I'm also going to e-mail him and ask if it is OK if I just watch it. I'll tell him I don't want to bid, just watch.
