Re: YouTube Guy

Assuming that he is not using a PowerPoint presentation to cue his lines, I find his 7.5-minute spiel to be impressive.  Extemporizing a short, coherent 3 or 4 minute speech is difficult, and making a more-or-less coherent 7.5 minute speech is even more difficult.  Being from Texas must help his storytelling abilities.  :)

I am sure that he knows that he has a slight speech impediment, and that makes all of his videos even more of an accomplishment.

No need to slag him for his enthusiasm.  He may have attended one-too-many positive-thinking seminars, but why pick on him for going beyond what eBay sellers usually do?  Me, I hate scanning items and typing in auction text; making a video of items is far beyond what I am willing to do to sell something.  No way I'm putting up a video of myself on YouTube, much less a whole series of them.  Good for him.

OK . . . so he is really, really enthusiastic with his eBay videos . . .  :)  I think the videos are at least more entertaining than stock pictures and poor descriptions.  They're a positive rather than a negative for me.

He is a salesperson through-and-through.  That's his strength, and it will take him far in life.   Of course, he reminds me of a former co-worker, so that irritates me to no end.   :D

Apparently Mike didnt pay attention in his Texas History class.

1) Lubbock is not a part of the Panhandle.  Lubbock is in the region of Texas known as the South Plains.

2) The region of Texas you seem to enjoy calling "Oklahoma Lite" is where I grew up.  More "dumbass Okie" jokes come out of the Panhandle than any other region of the state.

Two mistakes Mike....don't let there be a third.  PDT_Armataz_01_35

I believe he said something along the lines of that region is Oklahoma's Mexico, everyone from there really just wants to cross the border and become apart of Oklahoma.

Ummm...nope.  Let me put it to you this way.  I grew up two miles from the Oklahoma state line.  There was a beer and wine store a mile past that.  Most of the people that lived there would drive an extra 45 minutes just to buy beer in Texas.  For two reasons....didnt want to pay OK taxes and the alcohol content is higher.  Who wants to drink beer with 2.2% - 3.2% alcohol content?  I know I enjoy having to drink 10 - 12 beers just to get a nice buzz.

If 2 items constitute a HUGE LOT, how would this person deal with 3, or even <GASP!> 4 items?!?!

Troll and Toad have blocked themselves from using their own image for an auction.  It might not be a description but it sure is funny.

$212.22 + $14.39 for a beat up Monster Manual?

I think this belongs in the silliest price thread too.
