He's garbling the actual story of MB's DT- it was pulled after a year because the creators of Citadel, a very similar unproduced game concept, sued & won. Mattel, TSR, & D&D had nothing to do with it. Mattel's D&D was a competitor to DT, but failed as a commercial product because it sucked. It can't lay claim to starting any trends either; games like Simon were already widespread.

The first handheld electronic game that I ever owned was Merlin.

I think so and very hard to find as well; however, living in the Deep South I prefer General Lee's Githzerai cavalry.  :wink:

well thats a load of crap for a start. i had about 10 of them at one time. they are maybe uncommon, but its an insult to someones intelligance to suggest its more than that.
