Ah, Talisman ... down that road leads madness. Madness, I say!

Talisman (second edition) was one of my first collection fetishes when I discovered eBay. I finally had it all (sans Dragons), all in nice individual boxes, by about 1999 or 2000 ... and then I re-sold all of it. I think pursuing Talisman was more fun than owning Talisman.

Sorry, I'm getting off-topic ... give me a few minutes to find and post something laughable.

If we're talking eBay, then you can -- it just takes a bit more work.

On the advanced search page there's a field that allows you to exclude sellers.  It's not immediately visible (since eBay hides all the extra search fields until you click the second 'Advanced Search' link), and you've got to go back to said page for every subsequent search.

On the other hand, saving the search to your favourites afterwards will keep the excluded sellers list.

2nd Edition Talisman has no such expansion. I have the complete 2nd edition myself, and it's:

Talisman
Expansion Set
Adventure
Dungeon
Timescape
City
Dragons

This is probably a bargain, but I have no idea what is being sold:

I found this (and the seller's other, similar auction descriptions) rather humorous.  [Non-TSR]...

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Looks like someone cleaned out their loose mini and dice drawer!  Surprised there isn't a pair of socks in there somewhere....

Only partially laughable description, but I came across this while searching:

To Canada -- US $20.00
USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate EnvelopeTM

You know, it's really nice when by their own shipping quote they're showing me that they employ a 100%+ shipping markup.

From an auction for the 2nd ed. Ravenloft Domains of Dread sourcebook:
These sell for up to $199 at internet booksellers.

I want to know what Internet booksellers this seller has been checking, because even the highest priced copies at Amazon and abebooks aren't even a quarter of that.

Always nice to see a seller so dedicated to his buyers he's willing to take a $190 loss on an item like that...

Effing idiot.

I like the line in this guy's auction, "PLUS IF the auction is won within 7 days, two additional mags: dragons 208 and 146."

** expired/removed eBay auction **

And, when else would they be won?

ahahah wow.. my mind just broke.. I mean that's almost as good as the question someone asked on a forum the other day "How many centimetres are in a kilogram?"
My brain broke at that, it honestly broke. My partner tells me it can be done using quantum physics but I argue that ANYTHING is possible with quantum physics. Maybe this guy is using a similar theory? Hmm, the same auction running tangently in alternate realties perhaps?

Check out Diamond Dave's latest "VCG."

That's a pretty cool addition to the cover: flying blue guy firing red death ray.  :)

Dave, you are the biggest joke on eBay.

Dave now says he is a 'Gold' powerseller.  Is this new? Or has the Coug's alchemy experiment finally worked by turning titanium (powerseller) into gold?

Ooops!!!  Apparently he has been gold for some time.

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

for some time he had been a 'rated powerseller' - the titanium went but was never replaced! (Typical Coug really - eg Post office prices are still going up in April and different currencies is heading 4 but 1-3 have disappeared - cutting and pasting but no actual thinking)-

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

Got that beat. One of the salespeople asked me the other day if I could use Peachtree to replace Active Directory in our Windows 2003 network.
I'm guessing the guy had a BIN up, or he means PAY withing 7 days. Either way, it is a shameful abuse of grammar.
If you really want a laugh, look at some of the listings on Craigslist. The spelling and grammar would make a 6 year old laugh.
