Aside from the obvious (there are more volumes of Encyclopedia Magica), the earlier two volume set simply lists magic items, it doesn't give the full write-ups, or provide their references. Its sort of a "first draft" of the latter 4-volume set, in a sense. Basically, the two-tome version is next to useless for practical gaming.

The Encyclopedia Magica is actually a useful set of books.  It contains fullt stats/descriptions for nearly every magic item published in any AD&D book published before 1994.

The two volume set is more or less useless.

(oops, didn't notice the thread continued onto this page before I posted).

I assume the 'all pages are there' comment refers to the Fazzle, Inverness (DM copy), Tamo (Staff copy), and Tsojoconth.

Yep.  Coffee, black.  Fortunately not hot.  That "dog rodgering" line always gets me.

A fellow black coffee drinker!!! Hot, cold, or left on a burner long enough to have texture. Black coffee is my fuel of choice!
None of those sissy "grande! Frappe! Latte!" drinks for me!
Besides, I'd rather have a large Tim Horton's black coffee than something poured by a "Barista" any day!  :P
My motto is "If it's not strong enough to stain wood, it's not coffee!"  :D
