Have you considered why this section keeps growing and growing without most of it ever selling? Has it occured to you that most of this stuff is not worth even 10% of the original price...much less 50%?

FormCritic wrote:My big score last week: The Conan RPG by Mongoose. The original price was $50+It was marked down to $25+The store guy came by while I was shopping and marked it down to $12+.For those of you who have not checked out this game....it is D20 3.5 material, but made cooler for the Conan campaign background. That means that the magic system has been gutted and replaced with the type of magic depicted by Robert E. Howard. You don't play demi-human races...or half-dragons or whatever. Instead, there are extensive character creation stats for each nationality on the map of the Hyborean Age.One clue to how the rules read: There is an extensive section depicting all of the types of armor and weapons in the Conan world. All of the weapons are depicted with blood on them. Even the longbow! With the inclusion of text by REH and an essay on the Hyborean Age by REH (published elsewhere, but interesting in this context), the entire game book is a solid product. The artwork is also pretty Conan-esque (Conan-licious?).Oh..and I also paid, like, $2 for a near mint copy of DCC #1 Idyls of the Rat King, with the original cover art.
burntwire brothers wrote in Half-Price Books - What do you think?:Half-Price Books right by my house has turned me off almost completely from visiting their stores. They had a nice amount of 1st edition stuff but when they want $20-50 a module in FN or lesser condition they are just assholes. I don't even charge close to the prices they have. Hell they may even start to make NK prices look good.
