Just curious if anyone knew where bbarsh is?

I purchased an item from him about three weeks ago and haven't gotten the item or a response to an email I sent a few days ago.

Not a big deal, really, but then I noticed he got hit with three FB negatives for no contact / no delivery in the last few days and that he hasn't visited here in about three weeks.

Anyone know what's going on?

Same here.  I won an auction on April 27th and have not received the item yet.  I sent an email on the 16th which has gone unanswered.   :? Please post if you know what's going on.  Thanks

I won few items from bbarsh a few months ago and it took several weeks (IIRC maybe close to a month) before I finally got the goods in the mail, and from the postmark it wasn't the post office that was the delay. An email went unanswered for quite a few days as well, which got me kind of antsy. In the interest of fairness, it all eventually did come in the condition described, and I felt like the stuff I picked up via Buy-It-Now was quite reasonably priced.

If you look back through his feedback you'll see quite a few comments about slow shipping. Looks like a few of his most recent buyers didn't appreciate the wait.

Longtime member here, though ... that should be worth something.

I respect the fact that items have been paid for and not yet received, but let's see how it plays out. It might be that some not-so-good RL thing has become a factor.

My experience with bbarsh has been exemplary. His descriptions are always spot on. The items I purchased arrived quickly overseas. I see him as a valued member here. So I trust that he is OK.

Thanks everyone for your responses.  I will certainly be patient based on his previous Ebay record and the Acaeum reputation he has earned.  For me collecting is a hobby and not a business and I can afford to wait for the item.  Hopefully, all is well and he has not experienced some not-so-good RL experience.  I would certainly feel like an ass pestering him with emails if this were the case.  I'll let everyone know when the item arrives.  Thanks again.

Thanks for the info, as well.

I'm in no big rush and the fact that he's a regular here cuts a lot of slack with me. So I'll just be patient.

Not sure, but for some reason I had the impression he was in the military.  If so, maybe he's on duty.

I've had only good experiences buying from him, though it can take a while on occasion.  He's also done nice things like throw in an extra freebie once in a while.   :D

According to the information on the memberlist his last visit to the forums was on May 25th so he has visited within the last two weeks.

I noticed his visit on May 25th as well, but he didn't reply to the PM I left him before that date or to the emails I had sent him directly.

I think a simple "Could you give me some more time to get the item to you" or any response would have be fair. Because of his standing here, I let bbarsh know via email that I would be willing to re-purchase the item if he makes contact at a later time - but in the mean time, I'm going to go ahead and get my money back via Paypal.

Any update on bbarsh's status?  I owe him money.

Funny you should bring this up, I just noticed today looking thorugh my feedback that he is now NRU:

Then again 12 of his last 17 FBs are Negs so obviously something went awry.
